Oh noooooo..... Hope all ended ok!

Good evening all! I just got in from running around to a couple of stores. Tonight is our wedding anniversary; 22 years! The time sure does fly....

We've known each other officially for 27 years; we were friends for years, before we started dating....Anyhow, I got some flowers, card and balloons and have them on the table for when she gets home from work in about a half hour.

Tomorrow night, we are heading down to my grandfathers to celebrate his 96th birthday and then Saturday we are heading to Lisa's parents house to have a belated, Labor Day get together, since we did not have one because everyone was working (go figure.....). And Sunday, think I'll sleep in.....LOL~

Happy Anniversary to you! Happy Birthday to Grandpa! Enjoy the weekend!

I kept telling myself to stop reading and go to bed, get caught up tomorrow. I read all 30+ pages of posts. I am going to pay for it tomorrow, I am already exhausted from a long day at work and then mowing the lawn when I got home.

Nothing else really to report here. Turtle will be here Saturday, we are all getting excited for that, besides that I really like that Kmart "not a Christmas commercial." Funny stuff!

Hope you guys are ready for a nice weekend - I bet you are!

I have this weekend off but that is because Mr Festive is in Italy. His best friend is getting married on Saturday and he is the best man Our whole family couldn't make it as it would be to complicated with the children especially as one is back at school.

So anyway, the children and I have a nice weekend in planned and I am looking forward to it as I have not had one off since Easter!

I bought my first autumn candle - Apple Pumpkin! I am waiting till it starts to feel more autumn before I light it. I am also holding on to our summer while I can. It is funny to hear you all talk about your fall temps as these are closer to our summer temps lol!

Ok , well I hope everyone is doing well. I really wish I could engage more in conversation - I have no idea what is going on lol. I figure even if I can't keep up with posts , I will atleast pop in and say hello. I don't want to be away for so long like I was recently!

No, he has not. It's at the end of the month. My mother in law, Dorothy, is a fighter. But she found out that she will be on chemo for the rest of her life, so we are having a tough time accepting that. And my dear friend's fiancée is on his way for treatments in Ensenada. I've just finished tidying up the house. It took quite a while, as always, but I like the satisfaction when the job is done. ^^
I'm going to the Rotary Club event this evening. The invitation is dedicated to my parents but since dad is away with work, I am accompanying my mum.

And the day after tomorrow sees us safely down to single digits to our next Milestone marker, the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the begining of a
double-double digit count.
(Get the feeling the long wait may be just starting to be over?)


Still warm and humid but we had a nice gentle rain last night and the promise of cooler temps just ahead.
We have awakened this AM to 73 degrees here in central NC.

So happy I do not have to be at the preschool today, lol. I'm just having a cup of coffee and relaxing. Not too much going on. I'm going to work on a menu plan and grocery list, maybe take a ride to the butcher. My middle daughter will be home today so I think I'm going to clean her room with her, it's such a mess. Her boyfriend got in to a car accident yesterday, thankfully he wasn't hurt. I'm so glad she wasn't in the passenger seat when it happened, he said his airbags didn't go off! He's waiting to hear if the car will be a total loss. I feel bad for him. Anyway, I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Thanks so much for all the prayers. Just got a text from my sister. Says there was a slight improvement - thickened liquids are definitely going down better than un-thickened. Therapy is questionable (not sure what that means) - but he was ok with it. Said they got him some frozen yogurt. Poor guy!
