Good morning all !!!! You know I keep saying I'm going to stop by everyday and keep up with all the posts, but life keeps seems to be getting in the way.

I am really going to try harder to stop by twice a day. I brightens my day to read everyone's post and see what everyone is up to.

As for me today, off to work in a bit. I start my extra hours this week, 10 am to 8 pm. It may take me a little while to used to all the standing, but we will survive:)

Hope everyone has a great day. Off to read some post and try to catch up.

I figured to make this a separate post...

I was notified yesterday by my brother that my mom's husband Bruce's brother had a massive heart attack yesterday morning at his home near Atlanta, GA, and ultimately passed away. He was only 56. Kim and I just saw Glen last summer in Ottawa. He was always in a positive mood and definitely made you smile with kindness and his inherited southern drawl that he developed over the past 15 years.

Sad stuff. I don't like talking about these things too much but I know that you, friends, always help make everything better. I will be fine. Please send all your thoughts amd everything to Bruce and his family. He's had a rough time in the past five years or so. He lost his dad, mom, and now brother. His entire immediate family is now together elsewhere. Bruce also doesn't have any kids. Poor guy.

Again, thanks for everything, friends.

Very sorry to hear. My condolences to Bruce's family.

Well, Adi's truck had problems, part of it caught fire, and he's on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck. He was coming back from up north. Could've been much worse, thank God he's ok. Please keep him in your prayers!

Sorry to hear! Prayers for sure!

Good morning good people....

Not a whole lot going on and or planned for this week, It's one of those weeks where it will be day to day to see, what sort of adventure pops up. I will say this though, it sure is a beautiful morning here (temperature), it's a pleasant 56 degrees here in Westminster, Maryland; my kind of temperature....(I can feel Fall in the air).

Well, it's a Monday, not a big fan, my interpretation of a Monday is that when the rest of the world is heading to work, I'd rather be under the covers, checking for holes in my eyelids until 9 or 10 am...

Well, hope everyone had a nice weekend and hopefully, you will have a good day today as well....

Christmasstar, Piper is so cute! Congratulations to the family!!!

Now that Turtle is here I can tell you how he came to us.

I am not a dog person, I never really have been. I haven't had a dog since I was 15-16 years old. My wife and her family are dog people, my wife has wanted a Chocolate Lab for years.

Turtle is a Chocolate Lab, he is 6 years old and from Tennessee. We received a text from a friend of my wife with his picture, telling us his furparent needed to find a new home for him. His furparent had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only given 6 months to year to live, and Turtle was becoming too hard to take care of.

We contacted him and started asking about Turtle, learning about him and asking everything about him. We became very interested and let his furparent know we were. He told us he was giving him away to someone he felt would be good for him and take care of him. He selected us and all we had to do was to pay for the transport of him from Tennessee to Massachusetts. The furparent turns out to be one of the nicest people we have ever talked to, it is bittersweet that we got his baby because of his diagnosis, but we are lucky enough to be the ones he chose to take care of Turtle.

Turtle is a great dog, very smart, well trained and loves the kids. It made the decision easy to take him since we didn't have to go through the puppy stages, being my first dog in 20+ years I didn't know if I could handle those stages with 2 young boys and 5 cats.

Day 2 with Turtle has gone well, my wife and kids are adoring him, I am still adjusting to it, but so far it is going well.

Beautiful story. I love that you decided to take in a dog who needed a home. All my babies are rescues. Sounds like Turtle had a wonderful home already but in a way you "rescued" him and helped out a family in need. Very thoughtful of you to make that decision! Turtle rescued you back! That is what I tell all my babies, they make me so happy!!!

I think a lot of us feel that way sometimes!

Good morning, friend~

Have a great day!!

Good Morning, All.

Yet another new week.
Hard to believe it's the second one of September already.

But is this any easier to believe?
Days to the Season: 66
Days to Christmas Day: 108

Not only that, but as of tomorrow, we will be down to one, lone, solitary week to the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone marker.
Then -- a double-double digit count.
(Hard to believe indeed, my friends. Hard to believe indeed.)

Well, hopefully today begins the promised cooling/lower humidiy trend.
(And with plenty of yard work beckoning, it comes none to soon.)
We have commenced the new week with a light rain and 69 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

Yesterday I told my boss I would be at work and to go ahead and tell the other girl she don't have to come in. Shortly after I text him to tell him that I started feeling bad again but told Wayne too late now, I need to go in. When I got to work my boss said the other girl will be there anyway because he was not sure if I really was up to it. He gave me the decision to either go on home right away or work half a day. A few hours into work I guess he saw I wasn't feeling well so he told me to go home and rest! Wayne came and picked me up and was joking around with my boss and said to me, "good job sweetie on looking sick, your plan worked to come home early and watch the Cowboys play"! Ha ha! My boss started laughing. Well, I get home to watch the Cowboys not doing so well. At half time I text my boss and said, "Can I come back to work, the Cowboys are losing"?! He texted back, "Did you jinx the Cowboys by going home too early"?

Wayne has to go to the doctor this morning. His leg has been achy for nearly a month and now his foot started tingling last week. We are hoping it's just an injury that needs to heal and not anything to do with circulation.

Ya-hooooo! I went to Lowes yesterday afternoon and I stopped back in their patio furniture area and loookey what I saw on the shelves....

I appreciate that! You know I have been a nervous wreck with his symptoms. If it's circulation issues, that's not a good thing!!!

Will be back later to give you an update.

Oh how sad, sending up prayers for Turtle's furparent. I'm so happy Turtle has been placed in a loving home. God bless you & your family xmas. He's going to bring you so much joy.
