Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Holiday]

Good Morning, Second Weekday Friends.

Can 'Pines Day be tomorrow already?
Seems like it was just here last week.

But one thing that was definitely not here last week was the following count presentation:
Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

And last week at this time we were most assuredly not exactly ONE WEEK away from the 100-day
Christmas Day Window and the start of a double-double digit count sequence.
(No, we are definitely not in last week anymore, Toto!)


Well, it rained almost the entire day yesterday with the high temp barely 70 degrees, and that did not
occur until late in the afternoon.
(So much for my planned yard work.)
Today there is a reduced, but still high, chance of more rain.
We are at a rain-free but very damp and cloudy 66 degrees here right now.

You will become a dog person soon! =)

I grew up with cats and considered myself a cat person only but liked dogs and all other animals as well. It wasn't until about 15 years ago that a friend wanted me to babysit her dog for her while she traveled. I became the full time babysitter every time she went out of town. I fell madly in love with her dog and didn't want her to leave when she came to pick her up. That is when I decided to get Chico. (Unfortunately the dog I just lost in February). I am madly in love with dogs and cannot believe I ever went my whole life without a dog. Chico crushed my heart in a million pieces when I lost him. Right this very minute as I type, I have one little dog in my lap, Niles, the other dog, Maris, has her head laying on my lap and smashed up against Niles and my cat, Charlie, right behind my head on the couch. I am surrounded by all this love every single day. I am a dog person and never knew it!!! =)

Somehow I have my laptop in my lap too!!! A bit crowded but it's all good! =)

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We got a lot of rain last night, and now the humidity is through the roof. Even my desk is sticky-feeling on top. Yuck. Still, it beats being out in the plant!

Our county centennial celebration is still going on, and one of the other town's is having a street dance & fireworks. My band was supposed to play the street dance, but a couple of our guys just couldn't get away for prior commitments. But it'll still be fun. They're getting The Swinging Medallions, and that's always a great show.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a warm one with a high of 84 degree's and humid. Only two more days of warm weather and then high's in the 60's for the next week!! Well the roofers have returned this morning and it appears that they have decided that my building is next. So there goes any peace and quiet that I was hoping for. With strong storms predicted for tomorrow, I hope they start at the other end of the building!!! LOL!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Tuesday morning to everyone !!!! We are having a hard time getting moving here this morning. It's going to be another busy day.
Work , then off to the high school to get my oldest twos Macbook. The school board is giving all the middle and high school student Macbooks to use. We have to go sit thru an informational meeting before they will give them to them tonight.

Well off to get the kids moving and me another cup of coffee

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and great start to the week! Mr. Festive got back from Italy on Sunday and he had a great time at his best friend's wedding.

I have been doing some decorating in our bedroom. One thing I can tick off my end of year action list Yay!

Yesterday I bought a really lovely large ceramic pumpkin. I plan on painting and glazing it. It's already on the window and I think as the days go by , I will increase the autumn décor around the house. Ok must dash...

To be honest, I was very hesitant to post the above pictures. I wanted to save them for the Blossoms thread, but I thought it was a little early to save them for that. Moreover, there are only Christmas items on the shelves and no real Christmas decorations that we all know and love. Therefore, I felt OK posting the images a little early. Hope you all enjoyed!!

The Christmas Season is truly on its way. The "creep" has begun! Let's continue to celebrate and enjoy as the "ber" months bring us the joy for which we wait the entire year!

The usual long day at work today, day off tomorrow, I get a bonding day with Turtle tomorrow. Most of the cats are having a hard time adjusting to Turtle, Gomez especially. He hid for over 24 hours straight, poor thing, he is afraid of his own shadow to begin with so this is really tough on him. Sidney seems to be the only one who likes him so far.
Just listening to some Quo before bed, it is one month from tonight that the Bruins season opens, I cannot wait!

That's so sad. I think guinea pigs are so cute and sweet. I had them growing up and so did my kids. Sorry to hear about your loss. Give the kids a big hug from me!

Good morning, everyone!

One day away from 'Pines Day. One week from the 100-day Milestone. These days are soaring!

As I mentioned, yesterday was a lot busier than expected with going to the gym and then not getting home until almost 9:30. I was wiped! My dad phone, too, which I wasn't quite expecting. It is always good to hear from him though.

Today, I have practice then maybe I can fall asleep early. I didn't feel too refreshe when I awoke this morning, so hopefully I can fix that tonight.

Well, back to work. Maybe I will get a teaching call tonight!
