I would say....don't worry, your not alone. I was up most of the night as well and now I'm at the office, trying to drown myself in coffee to stay awake....

I will have to have a father and son chat tonight, when I get home this evening, about him keeping me up at night. Went to sleep at 11:30 and was up at 2:30 am, because I could hear feet going up and down the stairs. Yes, feet, (2 sets)..... ! Needless to say, I got up out of bed, went out and saw shoes in the foyer, looked out the dining room window and yup, - confirmed...

The girlfriend and her truck was there all night, without permission nor our blessings. Oh boy, my wife does not particularly care for him to be dating this girl in the first place, and I'm no big fan either. (She's a nice girl as a person, but she is spoiled, lazy, pushover and a slob). It's just the opposite of what my son needs to have in his life. In my opinion, He needs to date/ find a "young lady", that can crack the whip and keep him on the straight path in life...I do believe we have to have a little chat before mom gets a hold of him, and that will not be pretty when she does...~

I didn't read a whole lot of posts over the last 2 days, but are my eyes deceiving me? Is it, Oh my, only 99 days till Christmas. :notice: Wow, that is very up lifting to know that we are now down into the two digits....

Which means that it is 44 days till Halloween~:boo:

Oh dear, I hope that your chat goes well and things improve for the better. Mine are still very little but I know it will be hard when the time comes and they are making decisions I don't agree with. Hang in there !

Good afternoon, everyone!

It feels great to be in a classroom again. A few moments were a little louder than I would have liked, but that's generally how it goes. I had three straight classes and am able to have my prep period at the end of the day. Not bad! Overall, it was an enjoyable day and it was great to see a bunch of familiar faces - staff and students alike!

So happy to hear all is going well with your teaching job!

Hello everyone!
I just read through the posts quick. I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to pop in and say hello.This job is really throwing me for a loop. It's only a few hours each day but I've been so incredibly busy since I started working. I hope everyone is having a great day so far. Well I have to finish up some chores, start dinner and then head to the supermarket for a few things. I'll be back later this evening.

It won't be long that you will settle into a routine and all will go smoothly but it takes time to get there! =)

It is a dreary, rainy day out here. Yesterday the furnace had to be turned on it was so chilly in the house. 59 and damp is a bit too cold for me. Today I made a pot of hamburger chowder for the next few days' meals and the heat from the stove warmed things up nicely in the kitchen. Lots to do yet so I had best get going.

I will be happy when we can turn our heat on. Probably sometime in late November.

My oh my did the day sure fly by for me...I spent the day going from one fire to the next and I can say, all of the flames have been successfully put out!!!

So, how's everyone on this fine Fall like evening? Well, I felt confident enough, for what my next address will be, that I signed up for the ornament exchange and the Christmas Card Exchange. And as a caveat, I also gave a donation to Santa's Sleigh....I feel good to know that I am helping families out there to have a blessed Christmas....

Personal note: Stardate 09152014, on way home, received urgent message to pick up Ice Cream for craving wife. Diverted all power to engines, and made wrap factor 12 to nearest grocery store.....LOL.....

What can I say....Ice Cream, It's the little things in life that keep the Mrs happy....

Well, going to set back in, watch a little TV and it's bed time early tonight for me. Have to be up before the rooster again tomorrow morning. Have a great night everyone~

I can't believe that tomorrow is 100 days until Christmas....I can't believe it! Yesterday is was the 4th of July! Where did the time go?

Do y'all realize how much fun is going to be in the next 100 days? Christmas lights, Christmas shopping, pictures with Santa, LOVEMAS, Christmas parties.....I get excited just thinking about it.

Good evening MMC - I hope you are all having a great night. It has been an interesting one here! :lol: I was on my way to the lake when my back yard neighbor called wanting me to help pick out a tablet for his wife. I told him he could come over when I got home. Well, he showed up at the same time as my friend Shannon - & she is a TALKER! And she is Bip (my back yard neighbors) wife's cousin. Talk, talk, talk, talk! They were both here for well over an hour (which is totally fine - but I was starving.) LOL! Jim came home in the meantime & left again for a Chiro apt & he just got home a few min ago... So I am finally eating supper now! (9:30) LOL! What an unproductive (but nice) night!

If I would have wanted to spend any time at the lake tonight, I would have had to turn on the furnace...it was 63º in the trailer. Brrrrrr!!!! CRAZY!

Then you join us on here and we talk, talk, talk!!! :lol:

Congratulations to your son!!!

Math is my weakness, never liked it or good at it. Then both of my kids had a slight struggle with it all through school and college. It sure doesn't help with having a mom like me to help them with it! We do know all the basics!!! It's when it get into the more advance, algebra etc. That is the math I am referring to. Tell your son to keep up the good work!!!

I am hearing pecans fall and hit the roof over our bedroom. I love that sound since it is a sign of fall arriving - literally!!! When they first start falling it startles me because they really come crashing down and takes me a minute to figure out what the noise is! We have a huge pecan tree and lots of pecans that will continue falling until late November!

In other news, it will be in the lower 90's all week but that's a big break from the triple digits we had last week. The weatherman said by Monday fall temps will be here - mid 80's! Not sure I would call that fall temps but I will take it!

Exactly 100 days from today, we will once again welcome Christmas back into our lives!

The numbers (for confirmation of the above):
Days to the Season: 58
Days to Christmas Day: 100

And tomorrow (just in time to coordinate with 'Pines Day) we begin a double-double digit count!


Another nice day yesterday. Cool but not chilly with no rain.
The humidity is down a bit, too.
Should be a repeat today and we have started off here at 70 degrees as of this hour.

Kitchen and living room all cleaned up. Going to make some raisin bread today.
This is my day off so maybe I will bake some raisin bread. Maybe if I get the time actually catch up here.

I'm doing pretty good. Just can't seem to kick this cough. The cough syrup is helping some but it's still there.
