Thank you! I wasn't quite up to going to work yet (a little too wobbly), so Mr. is filling in for me today. There is a big presentation coming, so we'll BOTH be there on Monday.

The turkeys came in last night, so I spent the morning lifting and condensing thousands of pounds of turkeys. I am beat, I will be sore for the next month and a half, but will also have the best muscle tone of the year. cheesy

I can't wait to start decorating for Christmas, very soon!!!

I need to get to bed, I will have another busy day tomorrow.

I have a confession: I know it's a bad time of year when you have to lug around all those turkeys, but when you post about it, I think, "Wow, it's really getting close to Thanksgiving and Christmas now!"

My crazy Christmas cactus has several blossoms starting already. I think it's into the whole "new beginnings" vibe around here after what happened Tuesday. It's odd to get encouragement from a house plant!

What a lovely sign you received!

I like to think of it as a sign. There's something unusual about that plant---for years it only blossomed between Thanksgiving and Christmas, until the Boston Marathon bombing (which was just after my dad's memorial service)---that April it set two blossoms just afterward. Now it's setting several blossoms in October. So it's kind of a "hope cactus"!

Forgot to mention that Gloria is making a rare personal appearance at an autograph show in Los Angeles this weekend. She's selling photos and autographs and a few DVDs and CDs. Wish her luck! She'll probably have some interesting stories to tell when she gets back.
