I've watched some of the shows in Travel Channel like "Halloween Crazy" and other shows about the best haunted houses and things like that. My DVR has a bunch on there I need to get to!

Good morning MMC! Happy WARM Monday! We're supposed to hit 77º today! WOW!!!! What a beautiful weekend it was. The tree's are just gorgeous! We made soup over the fire yesterday at a friends house. So fun!

Our contractor showed up this morning to pour the step from our new room to the patio... this should be their last visit to our house!! YAY!!! All that's left is the bill...oh joy! LOL! My hubby got the dirt leveled off & what was left of the pile, brought away. He planted grass seed last night & spread straw down. Now pray for the rain we are SUPPOSED to get tomorrow.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend ~ now on to a wonderful week!!!

Good Monday morning MMC world~ Here we are at the start of another glorious work week. I just could not wait, all weekend long, for this Monday morning to arrive.......NOT!!!!!Lol~

No serious, Good Morning!

I had a nice weekend, Saturday, Vicki and I, went over to an old buddy of mine's house (haven't seen him since we last worked together 4 1/2 years ago). We were pretty tight, and I had ran into him at the Lowes store near me, had no idea in the world that he lived just a few miles from me. Well, I took Vicki along, because he has a couple of dwarf goats, and she just loves goats... Well, she had a blast, playing with them and I think they did as well with her. later that night, we went out to dinner with Lisa's parents and had a wonderful meal at this seafood restaurant.

Sunday, spent the day working outside and in the garage. I was able to get about 95% of all my Halloween decorations up and lit (first time in 2 years), felt good and I was really happy to break them out of the boxes and set them up!

I was up at em, really early this morning (2:30), so I came to the office, to get some stuff done and then that way, by noonish, I'm out of here for the rest of the day~

I sure hope that everyone has a wonderful morning!

Can someone pleas tell me how we got to the last week of October already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am super excited! Halloween on Friday. Christmas24 on Saturday and the start of November means Christmas all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very pleasant late October Saturday was had here yesterday.
And the weather service says we could reach the mid-70's today and possibly the low 80's tomorrow!
We have started on that path at 44 degrees here in the capital city.

Good Morning all !!!!! Boy have I missed this place. I started manager training at work , so I've gone from 7 hours a day to 11-12 hours a day. My poor body is having a hard time getting adjusted. So I haven't been on in a while.

I hope everyone is doing great. Just a couple of days till the real fun begins. Normally I would start my decorating on Saturday, but with this training I have to work all weekend. But I'm off all day on Wed, so I could start then

One of the nice things about my promotion is a raise. Just in time for Christmas shopping. Well off to try and catch up some. Have a great day !!!

We spent the whole day at the air show yesterday to see the Thunderbirds. We were outdoors from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in the hot 90 degree sun. Isn't it almost November? Why all the heat? lol We coated on sunscreen all day but still got a little burned.

During the show the announcer was telling everyone how there are plenty of air show memorabilia to shop for while there and it's time to shop for Christmas!!! That got me a little giddy!

We have seen the Thunderbirds, Blue Angels and Canadian Snowbirds numerous times and yesterday for the first time I witnessed this but they had to land one of the Thunderbirds plane due to some technical issues midway through the show. I was a little nervous with the announcement because I was not sure how serious the problem was but happy to say they landed safely and the show continued on.

Oh well, by the time we get to Saturday, They are talking about high's in the 40's with low's in the 20's. May have to finally turn on the heat. Will try to avoid it though. LOL!!!! Not to much going on around here today. Just trying to catch up on some chores I didn't get done while at the hospital and will probably run to the store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I forgot to say that the girl that was taken off of life support in Washington wasn't my BIL's niece. Her name is Shaylee. If you could keep the prayers coming for her and her family I would appreciate it. They need a miracle.

[Holiday]

For the past couple of weeks my mom and I had been planning on taking the grandkids to the Halloween school carnival - we went last night. We get just as excited or more excited than the kids! It's the school I use to go to and they really do a great job at putting together an awesome carnival. The running joke every year is "training for the cake walk". Several days leading up to the cake walk I had asked my daughter, "have the kids been training for the cake walk"? She laughed and I said, "This is no laughing matter, this is serious business"! :lol: We bought our tickets and went straight to the cake walk, we were the first participants and I won a cake! We did it a second time around and my granddaughter won a cake. I get so excited winning cakes even though I cannot eat them!!! Ha ha! Wheat/gluten allergy - bummer! It's still fun to win them.

We then went through the haunted house and I must say it was the best one they did. My 5 year old granddaughter wanted to go through it and usually they are a bit wimpy so I figured she could handle it but this year it was a lot spookier. She went through it with me and to make light of it I kept telling her, "Isn't this funny, none of this is real, just funny stuff"! I kept thinking she was going to bust out crying with all the stuff jumping out at us and all the screaming in there. As soon as we walked out she said, "Can we go again"????? I am glad she had fun! :lol:

I am so excited because the carnival for me is the kick off to the rest of the fun this holiday season - Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course, CHRISTMAS!!!

Good morning, everyone!

I have a busy day ahead. Despite it being almost November, I have a tryout for the new semi-pro Ultimate team that begins here in Ottawa next summer. The weather does not look like it will be too cooperative, but we shall see how it goes!

In other news, I have been enjoying time with my dad. He's been in great spirits and we've just been hanging out. Earlier this week, he asked me if I wanted to go to the Ottawa Redblacks (Canadian Football League) game. He could get free box seats, food, and drinks. The game was last night. Instead, I had tickets to see "I Am Santa Claus" star and wrestling legend Mick Foley at Yuk Yuk's in Ottawa. I asked him if he wanted to join Mike (Kim and I's old roommate) and I at the show. He said he'd come along.

The show was excellent. Mick was hilarious. Mike and I were laughing uncontrollably for much of the show. My dad, who did not know many of the stories, also shared a few laughs, too. Before and after the show, Mick had a meet and greet with his fans. He signed memorabilia, 8x10 photos, and took photos with his fans.

As soon it was my turn, he said he loved my "Buddy The Elf" shirt. I told him that I was also a Christmas fanatic, and I may post on a Christmas forum to which he is also a member. He asked which one... I told him MyMerryChristmas.com. He only smiled at me. Such a great and genuine guy. It was nice to discuss a passion - other than wrestling - for a quick moment with a guy I watched on TV for much of my younger years.

Anyway, I should probably get some stuff ready. Have a great Saturday, everyone! The weekend is here! Let's all enjoy it.
