Christmas Countdown - 2014

Happy Friday to all! Thinking of you all in this busy, whizzy, bright and wonderful season!

Just hanging around on the forums before starting an audio project. I'll be doing a lot of recording, so I hope the phone doesn't start ringing, or the neighbors start using leaf blowers or shredders!

I'm with the rest of you who feel like the season is whooshing by too fast. I'm hoping we can screen some holiday films this weekend. Watching films in the dark slows things down a bit and focuses you on Christmas! It's one of our favorite parts of the season. Normally we'd be screening some films on Thanksgiving weekend, but we were doing some gift wrapping in our screening area then. I need to get some lights up outdoors, but that will have to wait until this weekend, because the audio must come first.

TGIF. Happy Friday all. Our weather continues to be depressing and above normal temps are forecast until mid-December. I have to remind myself that what we are celebrating is the birth of Jesus the Christ & the weather doesn't really matter. Without the birth of Christ, Christmas would just be another day and as Thoreau said we would be leading lives of "quiet desperation."

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here with a high in the mid 40's. I hope Holiday got an early start to her shopping and brought an umbrella because it looks like the rain is just about to hit there. I have a lot of stuff that I wanted to get done today but I have my 2 niece's again. Neither of which is acting very sick. They are trying to eat me out of house and home though. If it's not raining to hard after they leave I really need to run to the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC!
Feeling a little bit frazzled this morning. I was just looking at my calendar and I have so much going on this month. So many appointments, doctor, dentist, hair, vet, groomer. I have to take a CPR class for the preschool. I also have the schools Christmas dinner next week, plus my husbands company party later in the month. I still have a lot of shopping to do, plus all of that wrapping. Oh well, everything will get done, it always does. The time just seems to go by so fast, wish it would slow down. I go through this every year. And I panic easily, lol
Anyway, I planned on shopping today but my daughter has two appointments so we'll see what happens. Maggie was also up all night again so I'm going to call her doctor and see if she wants me to bring her in. I also need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. And whatever else comes up.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Another chilly one was had here yesterday and that may be the case for some time to come, now. At least it isn't truly COLD. No precip, too.

Exciting weekend planned. I am off and Mister Festive is off on Monday. it is his birthday on Sunday and we are going bowling. We are also taking the kids to see Father Christmas.

Good morning all~ It's Friday; YEA!!!!!

I'm feeling pretty good about myself at the moment, I was able to get all my Christmas Cards for the exchange done, and in the mailbox this morning. I also got the ornament, for the exchange, all packaged up and it was mailed today to my secret partner... Love those check marks next to the things to do list....

Today, the rain is supposed to settle in here for the next 2 days, so inside projects, decorating and some shopping, looks like will be on the menu for this weekend. And, I'm going to see if I can get all our personal Christmas cards all done and in the mail tomorrow as well....

They are so so sick though. (As they run up and down the hall, around the kitchen, and scream at the top of the lungs)

They both still have runny noses but that's about it.

Happy Friday, everyone! It looks like a busy evening for me; Hubby and I are going to put up pew candles and window décor at church tonight. It sounds easy, but at this point there are many broken screws that need to be removed from the pews. That's hubby's job; I'm going to do the windows, hymn boards, and some music setup. Then we can put up the pew candles and go to McDonald's, as a reward for work well done.

Good afternoon, everyone!

The weekend is almost here! It has been a decent week. Working four of five days for the week isn't bad. Thankfully, I have a prep period to end the week. Bring on the weekend!

Fun story; An enjoyable student of my came into the class today wearing a Christmassy red and white striped sweater along with a red and green striped Santa hat. We only had nine students (out of 28) due to a field trip in another class. The student walked right up to the computer and started playing Christmas music. It was so hard to tell her to stop playing the music or turn it down. I could have spent the entire period enjoying Christmas musc with students! Normally, I would be upset at a student for playing music aloud, but since there was only a third of the class, I didn't mind a whole lot.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their Friday thus far. And, of course, I hope you all have fun plans scheduled for the first weekend of December! Kim and I still have to make a trip to the mall to purchase my mom's Christmas present. It will be the final present that I have to buy.

Kim's Christmas gift should finally be coming in sometime today. We might have to do our gift exchange super early this year. The present is something that Kim has needed/wanted for about three months. I told her the timing of the exchange is up to her this year, so I have a feeling she is going to burst as soon as her present is delivered. We shall see.
