Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a cold overcast day here with a chance of some snow flurries. I need to finish figuring out what we are having for Christmas dinner so I can make out my grocery list and head to the store today. There is no way that I want to try and go this weekend!!! I also want to try and finish wrapping the gifts that I have laying around. I'm still waiting on several boxes from Amazon. One of them was is still showing that it will be delivered yesterday or today but still hasn't even shipped yet. So I don't think that will happen. I'm just hoping that I'm not sitting here on Christmas eve waiting on the mail to bring them before I head out to my sister's. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Happy menu planning. Whatever you make , I am sure it will turn out delicious! I understand about the deliveries. You end up staying in waiting for them and that keeps you from getting things you need to go out to do! Hope everything arrives on time .

It's been a hectic week with Nancy's mom in the hospital, but she's finally improving, so we can start thinking about Christmas. I'm afraid the only decorating we have done is putting up the tree, but that's ok. I have one of those lights that shines a picture on the side of the house, so I'm going to put up a big Rudolph tonight. That'll be fun!

Good morning!
Just popping in quick to say hello. I have a few more things I need to get done before I go to work. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I also threw a pork shoulder in the crock pot, we're having pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. Made coleslaw last night to go with it. And I've been going over my Christmas gift list this morning too. I need to head to the outlets this afternoon to pick up a couple of things for the girls and then I should be finished with them. I hope! Still haven't wrapped one thing, I plan on doing that this weekend. See you later, I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hope you get everything done! I also have all of my wrapping to do !! I have finally finished gift shopping as of today...maybe a couple more stocking fillers though! LOL

Good afternoon, everyone!

No work again today. It's been a rough week. At least I can spend today packing. Kim is driving to Cornwall today. She is taking Simon with her. They will both be there until December 30th, when I also return from the Sault. I am sure that they will have a great time. It will be Simon's first Christmas. Kim's excited... although he has already received his big present.

I haven't quite checked yet, and I was away all weekend, did I miss Jeff's taking of calls for the podcast? I don't want to miss wishing everyone a Merry Christmas on there. Can anyone let me know about this?!?

Not a whole lot is happening here otherwise. I might get a haircut today, then go downtown and hope to see Parliament decked out in Christmas lights. Then, I will take some photos of Sparks Street. Hopefully they've added a few things this year. Other than that, I think it will be a quiet night for me...

My flight back home is tomorrow at 7am, so I have to be awake bright and early. I'll be home by 10:30am, as long as there are no delays. It will be nice to see my family again. I hope everyone has had a great Thursday thus far. We're nearly one day away from the final weekend before Christmas!

[Holiday]

Good afternoon MMC !!!

This day has just flown by, did a gingerbread house build with a bunch of ladies this morning. Lots of fun, noise and sticky messes. We even managed to build some houses.
So for the first time in many weeks I have nothing I have to get done!!! yeah, I can just relax for awhile, watch tv and enjoy doing absolutely nothing I don't want to !
Now to catch up here

Good afternoon MMC!! Dads cataract surgery went fine this morning - we think. I have to take him back in about an hour for a post op follow up. People who are still under a little anesthesia are just funny!! I'm at work now, but will be heading out early to take him to the appointment.

Tonight is Santa bread & Candy Cane Danish night. Looking forward to it!

I don't think I'll have a chance to get caught up here, but I'm going to try!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful day!!!

Glad to hear that dad's surgery went well!!!! My neighbor was just over here telling me all about his and how he was hitting on all of the nurses. LOL!!!!

Like many others here, I'm feeling like Christmas is coming too fast! I'm hoping maybe I can slow it down this weekend enough to savor some of my favorite Christmas things. I saved some days off so I could have next week off entirely, so I'm hoping to have a total Christmas immersion.
