We are doing well. We may be adding a new fur baby to the family! My son is having a difficult time since the tornado in May. He has had separation anxiety any time he is away from us. The doctor said so many kids in Moore are having a hard time coping with the event. Long story short, there is a dog that is trained that we may get to sleep in my son's room and just be his buddy. I think it would be great! I will keep you posted.

Feel better, friend!

Bless his heart. I can only guess how traumatic that was for him and all the other children.

I'm at work all by myself and hear this big bang out in our carpark. I tried to memorise the car's rego and waited until they had left to check my car. All looks OK, they must have hit the garbage bins.

Oh good! I'm glad all was okay. :-)

Even though I'm scared I have this morbid fascination. I went to the croc farms in Darwin and went on a boat but I actually ran to the other side of the boat when one surfaced way off in the distance.

We have a theme park in Orlando called Universal Studios. A few years after it was open, they started having Halloween Horror nights. I went to the very first one and never went again. My idea of Halloween is It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Boris Carloff, Vincent Price type stuff. LOL I do not like gore or psychotically disturbing things.

I went with two friends. I agreed to do the Jaws ride where they take you through "Amittyville Harbor," on a boat. The animetronic shark does attack the boat. I KNEW it was animated. Fake through and through and I still was horrified. ROFL

The doc said a lot of kids are having a very hard time. My wife is a teacher and she said the school counselors are overwhelmed this year!

Merry Morning! Wow I can't believe how many pages of posts there is since I was last here on New Year's Day !! I could only catch up with a few today. as I have to dash in a bit. I have the shopping being delivered shortly, then I have to take my son to the dentist and then I'm taking him to get our hair cut.

Sadly I am probably taking the tree down today. As Mr Festive is home, I thought I better take advantage of the help as it needs to go out for recycling. I am looking at the positive side, it will be great to have space back especially with the boys.

I agree with all of you about the winter lights. I have some fairy lights above the chimney breast that I think I will keep going for a few weeks.

Is it really Friday already??? The last couple weeks have gone by so fast. School starts on Monday and hubby will also be back to work. The positive is I should have more time to visit here like before. When they are off it means someone is always using the computer :) I have been so occupied lately but things have settled down a lot.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a great start to the year!

xx

:-) Mornin Festive! It's always good to have help with the tree. Makes it go faster and not as sad. :-)

Hope dental appts go well.

I'd probably be freaked out too!

Good Weekend Eve Morning, Everybody!
The first Weekend Eve of the new year.

And it sees us move to within 2 weeks of our next Milestone, the 300-day mark to the Season.

Days to the Season: 314
Days to Christmas Day: 356

And the count figures do indeed reveal that after 2 weeks from today, we will already be down into the 200's to the Season.
(Exciting!)

Well, we had a chilly and rainy day yesterday and it looks like very cold weather, possibly close to SINGLE DIGITS, is just over the horizon.
(Hey! I'm ready for Spring!)
We have started today at 25 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And may your Weekend launch beautifully this afternoon!

Thank you Crown! :-)

A companion dog sounds like a great idea!

Glad you both got to stay home!! Stay safe while out there shoveling!!!

You can count on that! The radio is warning people not to stay out more than 20 or 30 minutes, even if you're bundled up, because of possible frostbite. We're just staying put inside for the time being---Mr. is busy coordinating work from his office via email and phone, and I'm fighting off a headache. We don't need to be anywhere, so we'll deal with the shoveling later.

Can anyone say "BRRRRRRRRR!!!"

My thermometer said -10º this morning!!! That's cold!!! They are saying 6-8" of snow Sunday then well below 0 temps for a couple nights. BRRRRRRRR!!!

This has been a busy, busy thread!!! LOVE IT!!!!

That's even colder than we're getting! Keep warm! I recommend hot chocolate and a crocheted afghan!

Hey no one ever calls me beautiful! :)

Well, you've kinda been letting yourself go lately … cheesy (jk)

Okay, off to the hospital with mom to get the heart monitor taken off and then back here to pack up the Santa's. Check back in with y'all this afternoon!!!

Good luck to her today. Thinking of you guys.

It's always sad taking down the tree, our house always looks so empty when they are gone. At least you get to have more space to utilize.

-29c (-20f) windchill here, having trouble getting house to warm up this morning.

There are many reports in area of loud bangs and what feel like earth quakes. Here is one story of what is happening:
The Big Bang – Frost Quakes reported throughout Eastern Ontario

http://www.easternontarionetwork.co...st-quakes-reported-throughout-eastern-ontario

We have not felt them here, but lots of folks in the Toronto area are getting them.

I have never heard of frost quakes before, that is so interesting.
We are at 9*F right now, with wind chills of -10*F, I have to go out and shovel soon. We are supposed to get down to our areas all time record for cold tonight of -20*f w/o wind chill. I am just hoping our oil will hold out, we are supposed to get a delivery tomorrow.

I spoke with him yesterday. It was a difficult Christmas for his family, but he sounds good. Hopefully, he'll be back with us soon.

I haven't heard from dawg.

Thanks for the update, he and his family are in my thoughts.

Dawg was having a lot family over and he is probably very busy with all of them.

105 Santa's down and packed away. Just the Jim Shore Santa's left to go.

The apartment looks so bare.

Good morning, friends~

It's currently -5 & snowing! ❄️⛄

We have a wind chill warning in effect. It's going to be windy & white out conditions as well. On Monday, our high is -15. Some cities nearby have already cancelled school.

Last night, we took down our Christmas village & a smaller tree. Today I will work on our big tree.

I can't seem to get rid of my cold. It was starting to improve last week, but then came back full force on NYE. Now it's more of a cold/body flu. Hope to also rest a lot today.
Harlowe has been such a sweetie, they know when you're not feeling well.

Happy Friday to you all!!

Have a blessed day!!
