I keep hearing about netflix but it's not available here although the banner says anytime anywhere :(

That stinks. It may mean, "Anytime, anywhere", by meaning you can watch it anytime of the day, any place, but I'm not sure.

Dearest Made, I will have to make it before 3 hours. I have 2 children that will be getting up around 6 or 7 am!

LOL!!!!! Yeah, but you are use to going on no sleep!!

You two sound like insomniacs :)

Well, yes, he is and I work night shift and I'm used to being up at night. I also only usually ever get 3-4 hours of sleep at most at a time, if I'm lucky, so my nights off, a lot of times, I have trouble sleeping, especially when DH isn't home and we don't go to bed early on.

It's a bit misleading because if you subscribe in your country then come and visit me and try to login you will be denied access.

I know, but when DH is working, I never know what kind of night he could have. He could be up all night too and if he is, I would hate for him to come home from a long night of fighting a fire and being out in this bitter cold and then me not having any sleep, just because I stayed up watching TV or being on here, when I should have tried to sleep.

That stinks! I have Netflix and we were just in Cancun, Mexico in October, but I didn't once try to sign into it while we were down there, so I'm not sure how it would have been there.

Most nights, I am.

I used to be like that with small kids now I have tuned into a routine : bed, read, eyes droop, light quickly off no hesitation, and boom I'm out. Took years to get to it but I can't wake up pick kids up and then hop back into bed and sleep again.

Okay, I see your point.

I use to be able to do that. Now even reading wakes me up.

Bugger. I cant look at anything backlit like tv or ipad because apparently it spikes my brain, keeps me active. So it's old tech paperbacks or ereader.

Usually watching boring things on tv will put me to sleep but some nights, even that won't do it.

The fact that I slept 11 hours last night isn't helping. I'm tired, just not tired enough.

I still can't believe you slept that long last night!

I don't know why I'm not tired. I only slept 4 hours this morning when I got home and I've only have had 3 cups of coffee today. That's not that much.

I know it was crazy!!! I passed out on the couch like 9:30 and slept to 8:30 this morning!!

The kids just got you wound up!!

I ran some experiments when my brain wouldn't shut down.. cause now and then I still have trouble and before I resort to my tablets first I would lay down to sleep and talk myself through the entire plot of the book I was reading and it worked... another one I try is naming every character or actor's name in any tv series I enjoy watching. I'd like to hear some things you have tried.

That would get my brain racing to much. I try to do things that don't require me to think. I've tried taking a walk right before bed. Just listening to soft music. Just turning everything off and mediating. I use to be able to read books that I had already read, so i knew what was going to happen but I still get into them to much now and my mind starts racing to much. So now, I basically just go until I can't go anymore.

I think I've got the knack for boring myself to... sleep:)

I just put my sleep mask on and listening to screaming kids. Usually I am so tired that I block it all out!

It's 2:00 am and what am I doing? I am shopping the Yankee Candle Sale. I am bored...hmm. Good buys though!
