Good afternoon,

My wife ended up taken my MIL and her dog to the vet, it isn't looking too good right now. It is something wrong with his kidneys, it depends what exactly is wrong, if it is failure there is nothing they can do. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

It is snowing like the Dickens now, but the heavy stuff won't be here until the evening, it is beautiful, I will try to get a picture of my outdoor lights with the snow falling.

I finally finished watching "A Christmas Story 2" this morning, it has really grown on me. It is a fun movie on its own, but the actors playing the characters have made me like it.

I will be snowed in all day, I'll be popping in throughout the day

ttyl

I will keep Billy and your MIL in my prayers.

Well everyone, I'm going to say goodnight for now. I've gotta be at work tonight at 10, so I'm going to try and get a nap in. I still didn't get all the posts read and replied to, but I did get to this afternoon.

I hope you all enjoy your evening and will talk to you tomorrow. God Bless and keep smiling!

Just ate my last mince pie. :( Getting ready for work on Monday packing the outdoor lights in their boxes and putting them in the shed, what a nightmare fighting off the cobwebs, worried about getting bit by a redback lol.

Go in with a broom first!!! Scare them back into their holes. You actually have to put your finger/arm etc on them to get bit. Those fellas don't chase you. Due to body mass, an adult can take multiple bites but don't let a child near them!! Farmers get bitten a lot but as the years pass their immunity lowers and they start feeling the effects. Take care and hope you enjoyed that last mince pie!!

Hope you are getting a good nap in and have a great night at work!!!!

long day, sour stomach is finally gone. Headache is almost gone. Hearing from others that it is a bit of a flu going around. Lots of people had it for a week, but mine is nice and short because I had the flu shot.
So hopefully by morning I will be all better.

Going to be -32c (-25f) tonight, time for the big comforter and an extra hot water bottle.

Cheeky Palmer!

You have no idea how cheeky!

I grow herbs, too - terrible luck with them. Garlic chives, catnip, lemon balm and peppermint all grow abundantly for me. Last year my basil and dill did not grow as well as I would have liked (and they are the ones I wanted the most) - need to move put them somewhere else this year. The sage I planted took a while to get established - I was able to harvest a couple of times. Hopefully the plants will come back this year. What do you grow?

Looking forward to the photos!

I'm glad you are better! Stay warm!!!

Just got in some of the things I ordered for my wife and our boys for next Christmas! By shopping so early our Christmas present hiding place only stays empty a few weeks a year. :)

I would like to start early, but the boys change the things they like almost monthly. So does my wife. cheesy (except for LC's nutcrackers)

I TRY to grow sage, marjoram, oregano, tarragon, rosemary, chives, garlic chives and mint. My basil never takes and both my curly and flat leaf parsleys have died off and never came back. I tried a chocolate mint and other herbs but they never survive in the spot I have tried to contain them. That's why I am going to try the other gardens with the different watering schedules and shade/sun and see how I go. I also have 2 bay trees, a kaffir lime and a curry leaf tree, lemon, mandarin and orange and crab apple trees as part of my landscape. I love the sensory aspect, I think it comes from smelling scents in the air and knowing exactly where the kids are playing ;)

Glad your tummy is better.

I'm about to start my walk home... as I work the longer shift today I walk in the middle of the day and drive myself back for the rest of my shift. Huff puff huff puff!!

From the sounds of it you have a nice garden and the scents must be outstanding! There is a small orchard here - various apple trees, most of which are over 50 years old, plum, peach and one pear tree that produces bushels of pears in good years. I'd love to be able to grow lemon trees.

Have fun on your walk home!

Goodnight, MMC. MERRY dreams!

All done now and went uneventful thankfully! I had cleaned the shed out but they come back so quickly. It's a biggish shed!

How is that app going btw?

Can I get a hug! Not looking forward to work, I've really enjoyed my time off this Christmas with bubs. She's so precious! I'll share a photo with you!
