"There's no place like home"

Hi Slim, You're going to be busy with remodelling. What a bargain with the lights! How do you plug them all in or do you rewire them in one long string?

"There's no place like home"

Hello Virginia. I plug them in end to end and I pull the one end with out lights up short. I use power strips and extension cords to hook everything up. We use 4 power strips and 10 extension cords every year look!

Good luck to your Bengals! Hope they get the win!

These below zero temperatures are freaking me out. We're not use to that where I am. Try to stay warm Made and be safe!

Thanks!! The temps are what have me freaked out too!! The snow I can deal with!!

I'm at the office for a few hours, had some time to make up from the snow event earlier this week. Almost didn't make it in though, due to an unexpected surprise...I walked outside the house, (thought it was raining), but it was actually freezing rain. My first step out of the house and onto the front porch was like a scene from out of swan lake...

I slid down the porch, twirled around but never fell! It was funny looking but it really got my heart a racing... When I stopped, I just stood there like a deer in the headlights~ Didn't expect that!

I drove into work and the car slid a couple of times, but the closer I got to Baltimore, the warmer the temperature became and the roads safer. It's about a 6 degree (typical) difference in the temperature from where I live and Baltimore MD, which is about 50 miles away.

I'm going to be here for a little while and by the time I leave, the temps are supposed to be in the mid 40's. I heard on the radio while driving into work, that by Tuesday here, the temps are only supposed to be around 15-20 degrees F, as a high....Oh that's chilly~ :cold:

That's scary.

I got to tell you what I did last night. I had a major burst of energy last night and I was all over the house doing all sorts of odds and ends and I was in the garage un-packing (trying to find my tools) and organizing in there a little bit. I opened up this one box that was not labeled and it was some odds and ends Christmas lights.

Light bulb lit up...I opened up the garage door, found a receptacle outside and grabbed an extension cord and I threw the lights over a bush (1 bush only) and plugged them in... I never told the wife. Left them plugged in all night. I just got a text message from my wife just now, when she left for work this morning at 6am, she said she walked outside and just shook her head laughing at me. she thinks I'm a goober~cheesy

I new I would get some outside light up at some point this year......:tree:

Awesome!!!

Good afternoon!
What a day so far. Two of my girls had opening shifts this morning and I drove them both in because of the icy roads. Needless to say, the are both mad at me because they wanted to drive themselves. These teenage years are brutal, lol. Everything always has to be a big to-do, the can't just go with the flow. Then my oldest slipped off the top step and landed on her back. She got up and shook it off but I know that had to hurt. I felt so bad. It's a good thing she's only 90 pounds, she probably went down lightly. I would have gone down like a ton of bricks. And my back steps are completely iced over. I need to take the dogs in and out so its treacherous. My husband's not here to do something about the ice, he had to drive in to the city to take care of a problem on a job. Grrrr. It's supposed to warm up as the day goes on so I'm hoping everything will melt!
I'm praying for everyone dealing with the ice and snow, stay safe!

Hope your daughter is okay!!! Do you have some salt to throw down? If it's going to warm up, that will melt it pretty quick.

:-D I found a really pretty neat radio station on live 365; It's called Ralphie's Radio!!! Love it; I'm sitting here with the Christmas music blaring in the office while not a soul is here....:???::tree:

Christmas lights, Christms music, I think someone is still in the mood!!!
