The sun came out for a brief moment this afternoon
apparently just cold was not enough, now we have this...

Blizzard warning for
Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County continued
Dangerous blizzard conditions tonight and Tuesday.
Strengthening westerly winds are quickly blasting in bitterly cold Arctic air tonight. Frequent strong snow squalls are intensifying over Huron and Georgian Bay and inland. Many of the snow squalls will extend quite far inland as the winds become quite strong and gusty. Local snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are quite possible in snow squalls by Tuesday morning.
A combination of the dangerous snow squalls with extreme wind chills of minus 35 to minus 40 will produce frequent blizzard conditions this afternoon and tonight. Frequent to widespread very low to nil visibilities with near whiteout conditions are expected especially in exposed areas.
The combination of a fresh heavy snowfall from last night's storm with intense snow squalls tonight and bitter wind chills poses a life-threatening risk for anyone outside for any duration, or stranded in vehicles if roads become snow-blocked. Travellers need to ensure they have an adequate car emergency kit and ample fuel if travelling any distance.
The blizzard conditions will slowly ease somewhat on Tuesday although the snow squalls and blowing snow are likely to continue in many areas.
so glad I do not have to go anywhere. My daughters boss offered her a room at the hotel for the night after she is done at 11pm, which is great because she has to be back for 7am anyway. Plus now she will not have to go out in this weather.
Aww, what a sweetie!! She is so darn cute!!
Aww, that is sweet!!!
Sweet girl!
G'night Molly and HMG
"There's no place like home"
So cute!!!
Aww...poor Caden. You're right, Toby was just doing that out of instinct. Ella does that still 8 years later. He will learn his boundaries. I'm glad they're getting along so well!
Hello everyone! G'night everyone!! What a day!! As predicted it was super chaotic at work. But I made it through. I heard on the radio today that it was suppose to be the toughest day of the year in the office..that is no surprise since the holidays are over and vacations are over, and most of us who made New Years resolutions have broken them so they said that all made for the roughest day of the year! Well that makes me feel somewhat better knowing that it is all uphill from here! Anyways it was not that bad of a day just busy!! We had cloudy weather with a high of 29F right now we are sitting at 20F and tonight we are getting down to around 17F and tomorrow we are getting above freezing to 35F so we will lose some snow. Fear not though because weds night and the rest of the weekend we have a 30 to 40% chances of snow showers. In the next 10 days no snowstorms to speak of and it has been a few weeks since we had a big snowfall.
Well tomorrow my oldest son Jordan will be 2 years old! This time 2 years ago I was nervous and had no idea what was in store for me and Brandi! It seems like so much longer than 2 years but in other ways it seems like yesterday! We are having a few friends over for ice cream and cake so I am looking forward to that..it's so great seeing your kid have fun...we are kind of looking forward to the so called terrible 2's!!!only thing I see him doing is just running around nonstop he really is a good child!!! well I better go to bed...I hope everyone is doing great so far in 2014..I am going to try to be around at work now that today is over with things should slow down....Gooodnight and stay warm everyone in the Midwest and New England.....that weather is crazy I see!!!
Snowflake, it was amazing. I told everyone to keep it in perspective....she is 3 months. As she was opening up gifts, I would laugh (to myself, of course) because she won't be able to play with some of the stuff until she is 3 or 4. But it's ok...she is loved.
I don't know what it is, whether that we had so much trouble and experienced two miscarriages, that I'm 37 and having my first kid after I didn't think it was going to happen, but I haven't ever cried....now I do twice a week. Christmas was the worst! I was like a waterfall...I really think I'm just allergic to pink and that is what is going on. My family laughs at me....the ol' rough and tough coach is now putty in the hand of a three month old. My Mom says the transformation has been amazing to watch in me the last year....how I have come much more loving and open about my feelings...but I want her to see how a man should treat a baby and a woman...and it's ok to wear your heart on your sleeve...sometimes.
Enough of that crying mushy crap....football's on...(that ol' coach still shows up)
Hi everyone!
Hope you're all doing well!
Tell me about it. Work was pure madness yesterday! Talk about picking up the pieces lol. Was flat out all day, I knew it would be that way so can't complain. Was so tired last night after coming home and cooking dinner I had an early night. Wasn't much better today but I finally have some free time. Everything is back in order.
Happy birthday to Jordan gabulldawg!
Well I better finish up here, I knock off in just under an hour and after the forty minute drive home in peak hour traffic I'll be at home with my little Grace. :-D
Take care all! :-D
Good evening/morning,
I stayed up for the last few hours getting caught up, 47 pages!!!!!
As Professor Hinkle would say: "Busy, busy, busy!"
I walked into an absolute clusterfluff (G rated version cheesy ) at work, it was a total and utter disaster. We got almost completely caught up by the time I left. I told them I will not, not take my vacation time because of some people won't pull their weight. I had to make sure I left on time to pick up the boys, get them home, feed them, and then right out to Cub Scouts. Needless to say I am exhausted.
Day off tomorrow, I will enjoy it.
Good night, everyone!!!
the storm has arrived and it is a wild one! Cannot see across the street and snowing sideways.
Good evening, all! Wow you guys were chatty today, which I love, but I can't get caught up right now.
I am off to take a nap before work tonight. I will try to read some more posts tonight if I get the chance. I am praying for you all, especially for us all, in the extreme weather that is going on right now. Stay safe and warm everyone.
Talk you all either later on or tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your evening! God Bless and keep smiling!
