I saw a video of a guy shooting boiling water out of a super soaker water gun, it's pretty cool!

My indoor Christmas decorations are still up and I am still watching Christmas shows and movies. Not as many as I was but enjoying at least one a day. I have to s-l-o-w-l-y wean myself off that. We cannot go cold turkey, can we? :D

It's a nice and chilly 22 degrees with wind chills in the teens! I finally feel like we have a winter for the first time in years. Now just bring on the snow! I hope all my friends who are going through the roughest part of the storm are staying safe and warm!

-34 windchill!! Brrrrrr! Hang in there and try not to freeze ! It still sounds so dangerous to be driving. Hopefully the chemicals will make a difference. I hope your mum get to and from work safely. Have a restful day and get some sleep if you can.

It crazy, such dangerous driving conditions. Praying for safe travels for your mom. I'm praying for everyone!
 
Well mom just called and she made it to work okay. She the roads are just crazy. Smooth and a sheet of ice or so rutted that it just jerks you all over.

I'm going to try and lay down for a bit. See y'all this afternoon!!!
 
My local news has Polar Vortex tips.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol?!
Apparently, they will inhibit the body's ability to protect itself against the cold!
I think we're all in trouble.

I stayed up for the last few hours getting caught up, 47 pages!!!!!

As Professor Hinkle would say: "Busy, busy, busy!"



I walked into an absolute clusterfluff (G rated version cheesy ) at work, it was a total and utter disaster. We got almost completely caught up by the time I left. I told them I will not, not take my vacation time because of some people won't pull their weight. I had to make sure I left on time to pick up the boys, get them home, feed them, and then right out to Cub Scouts. Needless to say I am exhausted.

Day off tomorrow, I will enjoy it.

I was watching the news last night and the reporter threw a cup of hot water in the air to illustrate how cold it is. Yikes!!!! I hope you all are doing ok.

Not to much on for today. I need to take down some of the last decorations but I haven't got round to it yet and don't feel like it today.

We are pretty much back into our routine now and I am excited about the year ahead. I just remind myself of all the good things to come to keep those PCBs away like my mum's visit , summer trips and it's the World Cup this year too!!

I forgot to mention this but I have an Advent Calendar that you move the mouse in each pocket for each day. Christmasstar has the exact same one! For the first time I am starting over on counting down and moving the mouse each day for the month of January to Countdown to Rudolph Day! I don't think this will be a permanent thing but since I still have my decorations up I feel better moving the mouse instead of staring at it everyday being stuck on the last day like I do every year until the decorations come down.

I bought this Advent Calendar when I was 16 or 17 years old through Avon. I enjoyed it as a teen, with my kids when I started a family and now with the grandkids!

I can't believe how much colder it is today than it was yesterday, we have record breaking low temperatures. A couple of more days of this and then we will be back in to the 40's by the end of the week.
I let my youngest drive in to school this morning. Thankfully, the roads do not look too icy. I expected it to be much worse after all of that rain and melting snow yesterday. I told her a million times to go easy. They have to get a feel for driving in this kind of weather.
Not too much going on for me. I need a few things from Target so I guess I will bundle up later and go.
