More power to those of you who are organizing! I try to keep things corralled, but it's a losing battle ... it always seems like there are more things than places to put them. I really need to go through things and get rid of the deadwood. One helpful little secret: I have a couple footstools that can be used for storage. They have padded lids and are hollow inside. I chucked some of my charging cables inside of one.

The traffic was heavy, a misty rain was falling and the traffic was doing about 60 in a 65 and when all of a sudden the cars in front of me slammed on their brakes. I just glad I didn't run into the back of someone else and that no one got hurt. the truck can be fixed, no big deal~

Good afternoon,

It is kind of a sad day, I have taken down 3 of our trees most of the lights inside, disconnected all the outdoor stuff. I am stopping for the day, the room with the 7.5 foot tree is still decorated and will be until Sunday. Just about everything else is done. It looks so dreary now.
I got to rustle up some grub for lunch, I am starving. I have been busy besides undecorating I have done laundry, dishes, vacuuming up all the fake pine needles. cheesy

I will be in throughout the day.

Gosh, it's really raining! I work in an office trailer outside the main office, but I'm constantly walking between the two. Even an umbrella doesn't always help while carrying files. Yuck!

I have to go to a meeting requested by the county commission this evening. Such a pain in the rumpus. Those guys pay themselves every time they meet (I disagree with any salary for part-time elected officials), but it's just time away from my family, for me. I guess I shouldn't have run for office, if I didn't want to attend meetings, eh? :lol:

That's scary! Something very similar happened during our summer vacation in the mountains, but luckily I didn't hit anything. Boy, when those brakes lock and you start sliding, it's pucker-time for sure! Glad you had the presence of mind to release the brakes to get more control of the truck.

I'm glad you weren't (or anyone else wasn't) hurt!

I want to get everything single thing in my house organized and stay that way! Most areas of my house are well organized but a few spots are a wreck with junk I don't need! Like a couple of closets and cabinets. I can shut the door on those and try to ignore it but it annoys me it's like that! Ha ha!

I exercise through the year but want to step that up a bit and do more outdoor activities as the weather will allow. Bike riding! I will have to put a hold on it during the summer since everyone drops over with heat strokes here during that time. Blah!

These are not big goals like opening a business, going to school or things like that but just little things I want to do this year! Baby steps. =)

The count is on to our annual pilgrimage to Texas to go to the Great Wolf Lodge. Just a little over a month them it's mini-vacation time!

We pass by there frequently and the Gaylord Texan that is across the street. One of these days we might actually go there! I live so close by!

I read an article about the super Christmas decorations at the Gaylord a couple months ago. it was awesome!

What a beautiful day we are having! The sun is out, the sky blue, feels like spring.
I am sitting in tha van having lunch and had to open the windows because it was so warm in here.
Have to enjoy as snow is on the way again.
It is January after all!
