Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
I just mentioned we got about 13 inches of snow. We are currently at 5 degrees and will have a high of 15. More record breaking low temperatures are expected this week. Not looking forward to that!
Not too much going on. My husband had to go in to work. He dug the cars out before he left and made a few paths for the dogs in the back yard. I really don't plan on going anywhere. I guess I'll just do some chores and take it easy today. I have a feeling the girls are going to get bored and want to do something but I would rather not drive if I don't have to. We'll see what happens.

Thanks, Buddy!!! Her teacher told my sister that her, my nephew's teacher, and the principal really fought for her to get it. They just moved into this district this past summer so this is her first year there at the school.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing booking in at the Doctor's. I know we all hate going to the doctor but hopefully it will help the way you are feeling. Good luck with the car. My husband has used You tube videos to fix our car in the past and it's saved us a bundle. He enjoys the challenge mostly, sounds like you do to! Feel better soon Xmas!

Milestone #2, the 1/4 Season Milestone, is just three weeks from today!
Wowzers! Can we really be so close to a quarter of the way back to our coveted and adored Christmas Season?
The count chart says yes!

Cold. Rain. Snow. Wind. Nasty.
That was our weather for last night.
At least today will see sunny skies, albeit with low temps.
We have started mid week at a cold 24 degrees here in the capital city with a light dusting of snow on the ground.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a hectic week it's been, and it ain't over yet! I didn't even get a chance to post at all yesterday.

I can't stay long, but I wanted to say "hey!" and let you know I'm still here. The crazy doctor hasn't called with Nancy's results yet, and she is going bonkers with anticipation. Hopefully today...

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high around 18 degrees predicted. Right now we are sitting at 2 degrees after a low of -8. Not to much going on here today. Just have laundry going and I need to get back to my cleaning and organizing. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

In the end we only got a few inches of snow. The roads were nearly bare this morning, so I drove in to the office. South of us, though, is a different story---they got 15 inches and it's still falling there. So several of my co-workers are working from home. (I wondered if I could get away with staying home and working from there, but I figured I should be good and come to the office since it's safe to do so.) It's kind of an odd day here.

I'm glad that you missed some of the snow, and that the roads were safe enough to travel. Drive safe on your way home tonight, and hope that you're able to get lots accomplished with the quiet office.

Thanks! I do! Soooo much better! I just have a bit of a runny nose yet. I started on Mucinex early Saturday afternoon. It's a 12 hour thing, so I took another 12 hours later - I felt like a new person Sunday morning!

Asking for prayers for my Mom! My brother/sil took her to the hospital overnight - she was having chest pains. By the time she got to the hospital, she was fine! They ran all kinds of tests & kept her overnight. They did an EKG this morning. So far everything is coming back OK & she feels fine. They did find that the top of her heart is beating different at times than the bottom, which my sil (who is a nurse) says is very common & can sometimes cause chest pains. They will keep her overnight tonight for observation & if she is stable, will go home in the morning. Her cardiologist wants her to start on Xarelto to prevent clotting/stroke & he wants to see her within a week!

Also asking for prayers for my FIL who will be having knee replacement surgery in 30 minutes! He had the left knee done in December & today he is having the right knee done!

What a day!

I have the day off today, so I am going to relax, do some reading, watch some tv, and fold some laundry.

It was so cold here today....not as cold as a couple of weeks ago, but we had wind gusts from 25-40 miles out of the north....brrrrrrr!!!

Wind has died down tonight. Going to be another blustery day tomorrow and even colder.

So happy Dr. Wifey made chili this week....perfect timing!

My niece in Seattle received "The Shining Star" award tonight at the school board meeting. They pick one kid per school to get it.
