I do it every year, see how long I can keep a Christmas item out until she says something. I actually kept a small Santa Claus snowglobe in the hutch ALL year last year. Ain't I a stinker!!!! cheesy


I am probably burning that bridge this year because it is January 24 and I still have my 7.5 ft tree up.

I've done that too but lately mine are really subtle like cushions that go well in the room. My family aren't very observant; it's the girlfriends who comment and the boys explain how "weird" I am

I have one for you to add to your list, it is called "Christmas Story" ("Joulutarina" not Ralphie but a Finnish film) It is really a touching film, if you don't mind the English overdubbing it is definitely worth watching. My wife loved it when she got sucked into watching with me.

Since it is so cold and chilly and windy and snowing here , I am going to celebrate by going to a warm and cozy place and curl up with a book.
Work again tomorrow and then 2 days off.

I'm currently removing all the pre-light lights from an artificial Christmas tree that my grandmother gave to me a few weeks ago. She got a new one and so I, not having one for my apartment, gladly took her old one. Some of the lights do not work so I am just going to tear them all out and start anew. One of the major things I will have to decide before the next holiday season is whether or not I want white lights or multicolored ones. I am leaning towards white because my parents' tree upstairs is multicolored. Hmm. We'll see.

I prefer white lights so I can put a different colour scheme of decorations on every year.

A quick note before I go to bed: I fell at the beauty shop today and blackened my eye and split my eye just under the brow, split my knee, (a really large area) hit and bruised my chin (larger than silver-dollar-size). I think the eye needs stitches, but I don't have time, LOL!!! The good news is that my hair color looks GREAT!

A negative thing to happen but then you find a positive ... you're amazing!!!

Oooo. I hope you heal quickly, Jeremiah! I have been on an infusion (every six months) as part of cancer treatment. The medication makes a person susceptible to bone breaks. It is amazing that nothing was broken!!!

Rise, shine and behold the new count figures:
Days to the Season: 291
Days to Christmas Day: 333

And a quick inspection of our Milestone chart reveals that we are now under 2 1/2 weeks away from the 1/4 Season marker.
(Moving right in on that second Milestone of 2014, Guys!)

Continued cold here yesterday. It did not get up to the promised mid 40's and in fact I did not see it over about 34 or 35 all day. A bit windy too.
Well, hopefully today and especially tomorrow will be better.
We have commenced the 2nd half of the weekend at 28 degrees here in the capital city

Har is doing something similar- we have three guys that keep driving around our neighborhood on their snowmobiles?! Not sure why, there are trails all around us. So annoying! Especially this late.

I've been out of signal range for ages and have so much to catch up on. We had a freezing night camping as we are trying out an inflatable matress and I also forgot warm clothes. Considering heading home for tonight but at the moment we are doing some cave tours and 4WD lookouts - stunning views, my phone doesn't do them justice. Catch up with you all soon.
