Good evening, friends! Just popping in to say hello and hope that all are staying warm.
I know it's cold in so much of the USA right now.
Today we celebrated my daughter's birthday with a brunch at our house.
It's hard to believe she is a grown woman with little ones of her own!
I'll be catching up as I can around here on what you are all up to.
Be safe in the winter weather!

Happy Birthday to your daughter!
I hope you stay safe and keep warm too!

Hi, Holiday ~ I'm glad you found a way to stay warm! I've been crocheting a lot this weekend, too. I'm finishing an afghan for my great niece, Zoe, and then I am going to start one for a friend who is ill. Cheeseburger soup sounds interesting ~ another recipe I need to check out. I've got a slow cooker full of chicken with cinnamon chipotle rub going ~ smells yummy, but tastes mild so the chicken will be good for all sorts of recipes. Charlie is gorgeous! Stay safe and warm!

Praying for your friend who is ill.

Thanks! Actually hubby is on his way to Indiana (or maybe there by now!) His bulk feed truck broke down! UGH! He figure out it's the head gasket so he is trying to drive it to Richmond to be fixed! UGH! Hope he makes it ok!

Praying he had safe travels and can get his truck fixed.

We have a family friend that goes down and stays the whole month of February for all of the races. I get so jealous every year when he brags about leaving!!

That's amazing! Maybe we'll make it there someday - preferably before Jr. retires!

Hi everybody! Not much going on with me today, I'm at the office right now working (the boss asked us to come in and work some overtime), so, I might as well get it while I can.

I've been very very busy lately with working on the house every spare moment I have while not sleeping and also working late most every single night this past week as well.

Just this past week alone, I re-did some electrical work in the garage, hung drywall and mudded it, installed a new kitchen light, caulked and sealed the inside of the garage, hung shelves and cabinets, cleaned all the ceiling fans, corrected some ventilation in the attic, tore down several shelving units and salvaged the wood and screws, plus when it snowed this past Tuesday, (we got about a foot of snow) I snow blowered the entire driveway and part of my neighbors and cleared all four vehicles.

But, I love it, I like staying busy and doing projects and hubby stuff as well. One good thing about all of that, is that I sure have been sleeping really good at night....LOL!

I have not been able to read much of the posts lately, hope all is well with everyone and that there is not too much of the PCB's going around... Me, hecks far, I'm still listening to Christmas music and I was watching "Christmas with the Kranks", just the other night (late)~

Good to hear from you! Glad you've been able to keep yourself busy, but hope you can soon take some time for yourself and relax too!

We just hit 40 degree's hit a little bit ago!!! So I went out and cleaned as much ice off of the side walk as I could before the next round of snow and brutally cold air arrive later tonight. It's hard to believe that we are going to fall 50 degree's in the next 14 hours but that's what they are predicting.

I hope you were wearing shorts in that heat. cheesy

Will do.

Well, my legs feel like I've run a marathon...or at least this is what I think they would feel like.

Can't hold baby :((((( Everytime I walk into the room where she is she squeals and starts smiling real big. That make me feel better.

Just wanted to check in....heading back to bed.

Aww buddy...hang in there. I know what that feels like. I know it's so hard for you, but you don't want to get her sick.

I am sure just seeing her and her seeing you, makes such a difference. Hoping you soon feel better, that way you can spend time with that precious angel. Take care. Prayers.

Bearing down here in Chicago. A clipper will come down in the next few hours, about 1-2 inches is expected, followed by the arctic blast. Chili, enough for three days has been doing it's thing for three hours. Homemade bread dough about to go into the oven. This winter easily reminds me when I grew up here in Chicago. I'm 47, So I'm right in the wheel house for those winters back in the day. Be safe everyone, bring your pets inside.

It's nice to see you, Willy Nilly. Enjoy the chili.

WOW! You have been busy!!! Glad you had time to check in! Keep Christmassing.... I'm watching "Let It Snow" right now!
:merry:

That was one of my favorite movies from this season!
