Here's a partial article from a on-line newspaper about the pro longed cold weather and the after effects from it.....Thought you would get a laugh from it~

News Flash: The one thing that cold weather brings....

Bearing down here in Chicago. A clipper will come down in the next few hours, about 1-2 inches is expected, followed by the arctic blast. Chili, enough for three days has been doing it's thing for three hours. Homemade bread dough about to go into the oven. This winter easily reminds me when I grew up here in Chicago. I'm 47, So I'm right in the wheel house for those winters back in the day. Be safe everyone, bring your pets inside.

That was one of my favorite movies from this season!

It was great!!! I was saving it for a snowy, hang out at home kind of day cuz I heard it was a good one....and it was!!!!

Yep, beer in hand, the sounds of river in the background and sunset in the foreground... couldn't get much better.

It's hard to believe she is a grown woman with little ones of her own!

I know it's cold in so much of the USA right now.
Today we celebrated my daughter's birthday with a brunch at our house.
It's hard to believe she is a grown woman with little ones of her own!
I'll be catching up as I can around here on what you are all up to.

Hey everyone!! Hope all is well in MMC. It was a delicious 58 in my neck of the woods today but that polar vortex will be popping here next week with lows of 7 and 9 for a couple of days with highs in the mid-20's. Got my pets' room ready so they can stay inside during the cold and have my hot chocolate, hot tea, and soup stocked up as well.

God bless any person and any animal having to be out in the cold for any reason. It is not an easy one to get through this year. Remember, if you have any good coats or blankets that you don't know what to with there are lots of local charities glad to take them off your hands and give them to those who need them.

Stay safe and stay warm everybody!! Back to the books for me If the dry reading doesn't put me to sleep I may just pass this class LOL!

ok, I give up, not going to make catching up here. I wish I had the time some of you do to be here more often but family and work just will not allow it lately. I really miss talking with you all too.
I have also been working of getting together some of the decorations for a few upcoming cakes.

It was -12c (10f) here around 8pm, but now it is only -8C (17f). Not very often we see temperatures go up at night instead of down. It did orginally say we would go down to -21c (-5f) tonight. Someone got that wrong, which is fine with me. We have seen lower temperatures this month with more snow than we have seen for 20 years according to the news tonight.
