Time for another break. Assignment done and dusted and emailed. A dip in the pool first... but no shade unfortunately... and then to start the next assessment. Cheers all

Back to work for me in the morning. It'll probably be a busy day, since I've been out sick a few days. They brought in a temp to cover for me, but they never trust a temp's work the way they trust mine. I've made a reputation with my eagle eye! I hope I'll be up to whatever they dish out tomorrow.

Thinking of you, MerryCarey. Hope your day goes well, and that you're feeling ready to take it on =)

Good luck, friend.

Undeniably. If I remember correctly, my first viewing of it was very nearly a decade ago (I think a year or two after it came out) when I was still in middle school (for the record, I'm 19 now). It was the after-school day care program and it was very close to Christmas. That afternoon we were in the school's auditorium and the after-school supervisor brought it in for us to watch. She put it up on the screens and I was riveted from start to finish. I will never forget that day!

As for present day, today we went down to the local spring to load up some milk jugs with water. I think we take like 25 or so jugs each time we go. In goes quick in this house, though as I try to drink at least a gallon per day. It's great, though, as the water is free and very clean. Much better than our tap water! It was only 25º today (the past few days it has been 7, 4, 3, 2, etc...) but my fingers and toes still throbbed like no one's business! I definitely new boots and gloves. The ones I have now are a sorry excuse!

Fantastic memory!!!

Today, I learned the definition of fear.

As I was working, an announcement came over the intercom saying they needed me in the office, which almost never happens. So I knew something was up.

As I get closer, I see my assistant run out of the office with my keys. He runs to me down the hallway and said the babysitter called and she needed me....it was an emergency.

My cellphone had six missed calls, all from the babysitter. As I was driving across town, I called and all I could hear was the baby screaming. It was all I could do to keep it on the road.

When I got there, the baby had rolled off the bed and landed on the hardwood floor. Last night, the baby rolled three times in one direction. We forgot to tell her. So she was laying in the bed playing with the baby and before she knew it, the baby was out of arms reach and her legs was hanging off the bed, from thigh down....she started sliding and the babysitter grabbed her hand as she went over the side, but her hand slipped out of hers. She hit her head on the ground.

My cousin is a doctor and lives 1/2 between our town and the hospital. She met me on the interstate and jumped in the truck with me. You can't imagine how I felt when she said, "Ballcoach, slow down. Bambina is fine. She's gonna be fine."

And she is....has a good little knot, but she is fine. No broken bones, no concussion, all good.

The emotion and stress of it has hit me in the past hour...I'm soooo tired. I'm about to head off to bed. But you better believe I will give thanks tonight, more than usual.

Y'all have a good night. Can't wait to spend the weekend with everyone here and I can't wait for all the football fun.

You would have whipped through my assignment!!!

Good evening,

I am exhausted tonight, I ache all over and just feel like total blah again. I have to be up again in a little over 6 hours.

Nothing else really going on here tonight, just wanted to get caught up before bed.

Good night, dear friends.

Nighty night xmas

I felt sick just reading about your fear. I know exactly what it's like. Thank goodness she is alright. The babysitter must have been traumatised too. Sleep well.

That must've been so scary.

So relieved that she is ok, friend. Keeping you all in my prayers.

Wow - you're legion does sound really nice! We of course do have them here too, but I've never been in ours. DH and I actually belong to an private Italian club, but we maybe get to go once or twice a year! LOL They have really good food and drinks. I enjoy going, but would rather be home with my kids!

That's great!! Don't blame you a bit for wanting to spend time at home! The couple that manages the Legion here in town just happens to be some of our best friends, so we try to support their activates when we can! Many of our friends gather there, so it's always a good time! A lot of times people bring their kids & they all have a ball together too!
