What do you think of the changes Nascar has made to qualifying and the Chase?

For one, I love the qualifying changes. I don't know if you have ever been to Friday night races at dirt tracks, but I have and it's fun. This is much more in line with that. The Twin 125's are my favorite races of the whole season, so much drama...I want more like that! The Chase? I dunno. We will see when we get there....but I think it's good.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high in the mid 20's and sunny. Then tomorrow afternoon winter is going to come storming back in with a vengeance. Not to much going on for me today. I need to run up to the office to pay my rent. I may try walking up. The streets are still a sheet of ice but I'll be okay if I wear my boots. Other than that. It's just the normal household chores. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

so what I have been hearing from customers all day is true, another storm on the way!
I really do not know where we are going to put all this snow!!
Our parking meters are getting buried...wait that is a good thing, no more parking fines if no one can find them!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

Laundry, errands and outdoor chores done! Yay! It took quite awhile to thaw the fur kids water bowls and the back door on the truck was froze shut, but all is good now! I am now cooking food for the coming week ~ just in case there is more snow than predicted. I've heard/seen conflicting total amounts so I want to be prepared in case I need to do a lot of shoveling. The yarn I needed to finish my afghan was in so I will be working on that later tonight and reading. I started watching The Music Man Friday night and after the Marion the Librarian dance scene it all went black. Defective DVD as I had the same problem when I put it in my computer. So bummed ~ unopened package, but I bought it a few years ago so there is no way I can take it back now. Oh, well, that is what I get for not watching it right away. Lesson learned!

I grew up at the local short track on friday nights. My best friends family sponsored one of the cars so I went with them every week. I agree that qualifying is going to be a lot more like that and a lot more exciting!!! It will be interesting to see how it plays out.


The Chase changes I'm not so big on right now. I like the elimination factor but I'm not sure about the championship being decided by one race. Also if you are going to be locked in to the chase if you win one race and are above 30th in points, then what stops those teams from using the rest of the season as one big test session after they win?

It is kind of interesting that after all the changes they made to place the emphasis on winning, if you applied the system to last year, Junior would have won the Championship with no wins.

Good morning! I got up this morning to a rain/ snow event and now it's just all a wet snow now. They are calling for 6"+ for today where I live but only an inch or 2 where I work at. So, I got up and got on the road before it got bad out and went to work early. Yesterday morning, I was the first to get up, so I put the coffee on and opened up the shades. I saw a beautiful sunrise from my back deck, so I thought I would take a few pictures to share with you all.

The view is spectacular and relaxing from my back deck, it felt like a Folgers moment; lol....

Well one of our local meteorologists has given up on forecasting snow totals since so many people complain when he is wrong. Instead he is using this method now-

working on cleaning up the kitchen, I am sure there must have been a home invasion in there some time today!
Not only that while they were in there trying to destroy the room they also ate all the food in my fridge!!!
