Christmas Countdown - 2014

Had a great time today, 190 ladies singing, praying, laughing and getting to know each other better.
Wonderful lunch of squash soup, salad and chicken wraps with petite fours for dessert.
There was a great speaker talking on the seasons of life, a piano concert and a very funny skit. Lots of door prizes, none of which I won, but that is ok, it was fun watching the excitement of those who did win.
I attened a workshop on fiances and there was also workshops on health, cake decorating and electronic scrap booking.
Also had an opportunity to try some different kinds of tea from a local tea shop.
There was a book store there with lots of good stuff available for us to purchase if we wanted to.
We finished the day with singing this song as we lit candles while standing in a circle around the sanctuary.

Find in your area a shop that sells the K cups individually that way you can buy one on each kind that looks good and try it before committing to a whole box full.

I recommend this too - you can also purchase them this way on the Keruig website. They come in sampler box of 5 or so.

I plan on taking my daughter prom dress shopping again today. She found a gown she really liked yesterday but there are a couple of boutiques she wants to go to today. The dress that she liked yesterday has to be ordered so she doesn't have to worry about it not being there if she decides to go back to get it. I hope she finds something today! It's fun, but exhausting. There are so many beautiful dresses.
My other two have to work for a few hours and my husband will be doing something around the house. We'll all meet up for dinner.

Good morning, my dear friends! Hope this finds you warm, well, and drinking the beverage of your choice (tea/coffee)!

Mom just called and said she is making chocolate chip pancakes...which is one of my favorites. Bambina is watching cartoons for a few minutes and I am reading the boards while Dr. Wifey gets ready and then we are going to go eat. After that, it's the Daytona 500! I'm so excited!

Yesterday, we hit 68 degrees, but today the high is 48. Looks like we all have some colder weather coming through, but hopefully no snow. Hope y'all stay warm!

I'll check back in later, y'all have fun!

Yesterday was a super busy day for my part-time sign rental business. The signs are very heavy, and I pull them behind my truck, so I have to do a lot of lifting to get them attached to the truck. I hate to admit it, but my back just ain't what it used to be. By 4pm, I was tuckered out. I finally took a couple Aleve and started feeling better, and today I'm good. Aleve works wonders, but I try to avoid NSAIDs since I'm down to one kidney. Once in a while won't hurt, though.

Elizabeth finally got home about 7:30 last night. She had a wonderful time at the ballet in Charleston, and shopping the next day. She even bought me a "Charleston" ball cap that I love!

Now we're running to get to church on time. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
