Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
We have a little bit of snow heading our way, it should be starting soon. Nothing big, just an inch or two.
I don't have much going on today. I would like to take a break from prom dress shopping. My daughter needs to look for a new job, the store she is in now will be closing soon. So hopefully I could talk her in to going job hunting instead!
Maggie's cough has been flaring up again the past couple of days. I'm going to do some research and see if there are any veterinarian specialists on the island that I would be able to bring her to.

Good morning MMC! Just getting to work and it's 29F high today suppose to be 38F everything is melting....melting! When it's cold in the east and Midwest we are generally warmer and drier...oh well we are approaching spring..although it may not feel like it to most of you! Have a great day everyone!

When I read that line I said it in the voice of the Wicked Witch of the West. I must watch "The Wizard of Oz" tonight. :witch:

How Y´all doing? All good over here.....Kandice is excelling in school.....wrote two dictations in German with zero mistakes and will write a mathtest tomorrow....mulitplying and deviding...I believe that is how it is called in english....not sure tho......She is a hard worker, a great reader and usually doesn´t give problems when it comes to do her homework or to learn for a test......I´m so proud of my babygirl

Good afternoon friends! I am on a new computer at work and the keyboard is way too small. So if I make more errors than normal that's why..Although I do have auto correct!lol. Anyways I am trying to decide what to eat tonight for dinner and I think I want tilapia filleys in grits. I love my grits! Anywhere above North Carolina I found people don't really eat them like us deep south ppl do. I like them with butter and salt and pepper and I add the fish fillet do them. I know that is not common at all but I like it! Other than that it's a slow day and I just can't wait for the weekend! it will be my last one at home until Sept so I really want to just around the house and spend time with my family while I can! I was thinking that the boys will have grown a lot in the 6 months I am gone but I have so much to look forward too this next holiday season 2014 I will be 40 and that does NOT make me happy at all but so I plan to just gloss over that the best I can to offset the anxiety of turning 40 I just want this next holiday to be the greatest. and I know it will be! Anyways everyone enjoy the rest of your work day! it's almost over in a few hours!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day & Happy Pines Day! The main boss is gone this morning so it really is a happy day!!! It is bitter cold again this morning, but the sun is shining bright as can be! It looks deceiving from the inside looking out! After work I think I'm going to run to the grocery store, looking for jumbo pasta shells. The store I went too last night didn't have them & I bought everything else to try a new recipe - Mexican Stuffed Shells. I'm planning to bring Gracie along & drop her off at my sisters while I go shop. The vet says that's the best thing you can do to socialize a puppy & make them trust other people. She hasn't seen her yet & was planning to come over tonight anyway, so this might work great! Anyway - I hope you are all having a great morning so far! Enjoy your day!!

I love Thanksgiving, but I have issue with the fact I can't enjoy the holiday anymore when black Friday hangs over my head all day long. It almost feels like the day doesn't exist for me anymore. :-o

Thanks!! The maintenance man never showed back up with one so I may just run up to home depot and get one after dinner. They should only be a few dollars, so I would rather go ahead and buy it than go without a sink again.

I finally got my haircut today, I have been de-chia-fied. Woooohooo!!!

I also got my watch battery replaced, I will never go to a jewelry store to replace it again. They charged me $20 to do it!!!! I questioned them about it and she said "Yes, it's for the battery." My jaw hit the floor.



I am psyched that the Bruins season resumes tonight, it felt like forever since they have played. They were off for the Olympic break, so let's go B's!!!



Just taking care of stuff around the house, laundry, kitchen, and so on.

Good evening, MMC! I hope you're all doing well! I realized that I had 70 pages to catch up on since I've been here last - yikes! I just couldn't read that much in one sitting, so I've gone back to catch up on what I missed today. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers! I have been looking for jobs every single day and applying for the ones I like. What irks me is the way that many companies go about their application process. I spend 30-45 minutes completing detailed applications to only receive a generic auto-response from them telling me that they've received my application and then I never hear from them after that! I guess it's too hard for them to take the time to actually contact someone and let them know a decision!

I think that I am going to have some more free time on my hands so except to see more of me around here!!

Good to see you, Jennifer! We ended up doing chicken noodle soup the other night. It's one of my favorites! Good luck with the job search - something will come up soon. I just know it.
