Christmas Countdown - 2014

Thanks! Gracie's appointment went well. She gained 2.4 lbs in a week! Vet can still hear that her heart valve is not closing all the way after the 1st beat - she says she can't hear a murmur, but it's not "normal", but she feels her muscles just aren't totally developed yet & she will outgrow it. She said if she wasn't gaining weight, then she would maybe have more to worry about. She said it's a very minor concern on a scale of 1-6, she is a 1 or low 2. She doesn't think this is ever going to be an issue. She took her 1st flea/heartworm/parasite pill & so far has had no reaction to it, so hopefully that goes well. She put her on Trifexis. I love this new vet! She's awesome! Buster is doing alright. He just keeps plugging along. His back end is pretty weak, especially after laying down in 1 position for a long time. Takes a bit for him to get going in the morning. Poor guy. Gracie keeps attacking him & he keeps taking it. We try our best to stop her!!




I love my September birthday!!! Other than the fact that summer is winding down, but then - so much to look fwd too!

Glad to hear everything went well with Gracie's appointment. Sounds like everything is moving right a long for her. Give Buster some hugs for me - poor little guy.

Yeah, I would say September has to be a great birthday month too. It starts the Bers'. What is better than that?!

Trying to decide what kind of snacks to have tonight for Fat Tuesday! Hubby is taking Gracie out loafing so I'm thinking I'll watch a movie snack on something yummy & maybe have a glass of wine?? Hmmmm....

CHEERS back at ya!!!!

The boys won! I can't believe it! They were down by 13 -15 points the whole game until about 8 minutes left. All the sudden they were down by 5, 3..tie...down by 3 UP by 1!! We won 47-46! Bet the fans were going CRAZY!!!!

I forgot we had an event to attend at the school tonight, the boys had a good time.
I was able to watch the last half of the Bruins game and see them win. Tomorrow is the NHL trade deadline, so I am like a kid in a candy store trying to find rumors about what the Bruins may possibly be doing to shore up the team to make themselves better.

Back to work tomorrow at noon, so I get some more downtime before going in.

And yes, hard though it may be to believe, we are down to a scant 10 days until our next Milestone, that marker being the one-third point to Christmas Season 2014.

Quite cold yesterday and I don't think we ever got out of the 30's all day.
Fortunately, we didn't wind up getting much sleet during the night and driving was not hazardous.
Hopefully, we'll get a break today and it will be warmer.
We have started out at 32 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Fantastic First open house 'Pines Day of the new month, Folks!

Speaking of that, Carl's theme for this evening is "marching into March".
Don't have any details except that there is a conga line involved at some point.

Sunrise seem to get earlier and earlier these days. I can't believe the drastic change in light but it makes sense as our clocks change at the end of the month. It makes a difference waking up to light instead darkness. It really kick starts your day!
