Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's a windy morning here in central Indy but we should get up to near 70 today. Then tomorrow the rain starts and doesn't stop until the weekend. Mom's blood test went about how I expected it to go. She went from 1.3 to 1.4. So the doctor decided to up her to 10 milligrams of the blood thinner from the 7 milligrams on some days and 8 milligrams on other days. So hopefully that kind of kicks things in to a higher gear and gets her up between the 2 and 3 that they want her. Now I'm off to do some more cleaning and maybe some baking. The first thing that I am going to do though is pack up all of my Santa's and take them to goodwill. I've decided that they are just to creepy and I don't want them staring at me anymore. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope her next appointment is much better!!

Merry Tuesday! Happy April!!!!

My rose bush has bloomed two beautiful red roses, they are a vibrant pop of colour against the grey, dismal morning. I always look forward to the first blooms in my garden.

I woke up feeling a little unwell this morning. I have had a terrible stiff neck since yesterday and I am struggling getting things done especially lifting my little one. I was also feeling a bit nauseas and weak earlier. Anyway I am starting to feel better now although I know it will be a couple more days till my neck is back to normal. It usually is when it gets like this.

I have finished the laundry and tidying the house. Now I need to get some work done but I am finding it hard to focus. Maybe after a cup of tea.....

I will pop back in later . Have an easy going, stress free day everybody.

I hope your neck is feeling better.

They aren't vicious (as far as I know), but there seems to be a lot of skunks in our area. Just when it gets warm enough to start opening the windows---pyewww! I haven't "met" one in person (yet), but you can tell when they're active.

And we often have bunnies in our yard. But they're not vicious either.

Occasionally you see a snapping turtle. They ARE vicious. I understand they can snap your finger off if you're not careful.

I probably should have said vicious to other small animals, my in laws have lost a few of their cats to them.

Here is Gracie this past Sunday "playing" with our friends dog "Bud" ~ Bud was not a fan of Gracie either - he's 10 years old. She just has too much energy for them older dogs! : -)


Here she is yesterday when she crawled back in her cage when I was home for lunch. She likes it in there! And she really does have eyes!

Good afternoon everyone!

My internet connection has been miserable the last three days. The house is being renovated and so the internet has been disconnecting very frequently. Fortunately, the mess is going to an end and internet connection is much better now. I am glad to be back.

The only good thing about not having an internet was that I did quite a generous amount of work on my Christmas-themed story. ^^

There are too many posts for me to catch up so I just hope that everyone has been doing great these days.

You most certainly can come Made! We are going to have a PARTY! I'll run to my BIL's meat store & get more marinated chicken breast! All are welcome! :lol:

We have skunks too - and rabbits - and snapping turtles (at the lake) - and coyotes - and for some reason a lot of stray cats in our neighborhood the last year or so!

Good morning MMC! Happy April Fools! So far it's a beautiful day in Ohio - sun is shining, but wind is picking up. Supposed to hit 62º but have 20-30 mph wind! Ah well, I'll take it! Going for a walk again with the neighbors tonight - it will be a good workout! Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous! Not looking forward to 3 days of rain starting tomorrow & then much colder on Saturday. Guess we better enjoy this while we have it! Planning to grill out for supper tonight! Other than that, I don't have many plans other than working...which, by the way...is it quitting time yet??

It was 58 & sunny here yesterday, today it started with rain, turned into snow, now 30 mph wind, and only 22 degrees... Brrr!!!

Flurries tomorrow, and Friday significant amounts of snow possible. Up to a foot, potentially :/ Hope they are wrong!

Good afternoon,

I have been busy today, lots and lots of errands. I just sat down for the first time today and had some lunch. I took the Saturn's battery to an auto part store to test it and the battery was good, they recharged it for me. I brought it back home installed it back to the car and the car started right up. I couldn't believe it. I took it for a test drive, and as I was driving it, something happened to the exhaust system, so now it sounds like it belongs in NASCAR or something. I can't win with this car.
I made a trip to Goodwill, I bought a book, and I found a CD by QVC called; "Holiday Favorites featuring the QVC Family" I thought of Made right away, I checked to see if Valerie was singing on it but she wasn't. I probably would have bought it if she was on it. It seemed like a good CD, there was a few hosts who were listed as singing on it. cheesy

I have a few more things to do, I already took down my trees from the front yard, they were finally not frozen to the ground and the stakes came right out.

LOL, it's winter in WISCONSIN!! Or shall I say Spring?! Oh well, eventually!! Afterall, last May we got a foot of snow!!
