Christmas Countdown - 2014

what up what up....been a good Saturday here today....got a pair of Jeans and some new Nikes....she also bought a Barbie Doll (not barbie....but the type of doll) including a horse (oh how I hate dolls...hahahahaha)...also I bought her a gumshield for her fieldhockey game ( I want her to become an adult with all her teeth

)........in the morning we visited Jones in the hospital....dropped by my grandma´s place........then we went shopping....and on the way home we bought some pizza that we munched on while watching Soccer.....and now we are watching Pirates of the Caribean......bsides Jones being in hospital...it was a great day.............

It is Grand National day here, a traditional horse racing event that we look forward to every year. It's a pretty big event here and everyone gets involved even if you're not usually into horse racing.

Everyone in the house picks a horse to win. The children usually make a poster to include all our horses chosen. We have a big picnic and watch the race in the afternoon and it gets pretty boisterous (and competitive) in the house as we cheer our horse to win. Some years we have won and some we haven't. I'll let you all know which horses we pick later. The names are always so creative! Wish us luck today!

Sounds a little bit like Kentucky Derby day here, the first Saturday in May, except that the whole country doesn't get into it. We enjoy it in our house, though.

After I'm wrapped up with them, they have already given me another project to start working on, I'm exhausted...It's good to be busy and to make the extra dough, but this is way too much for me. I opened up my laptop, and … no Internet connection. The desktop was okay, but the laptop was down. Take a deep breath, restart the router, and yay! Back up and running! I had fears of the laptop needing repairs, but thank heaven, it was just a hiccup in the system.

So far today: Weekly bookkeeping, digging out the spring clothing, packing away winter clothing, sorting out old clothing for the Salvation Army, two loads of laundry (wash, dry, fold, put away), cleaning out the front closet, getting lunch, doing some household shopping, picking up the dry cleaning … okay, it's time to hit the sofa with a mug of tea and a couple of cookies! I hope you're all having the kind of Saturday you were looking forward to on Friday.
