Christmas Countdown - 2014

busy at the store today, made the day go by real fast.
Tomorrow we are headed to Port Huron as my daughter has some stuff to pick up.
It was a beautiful sunny day, temp went up to 8c (46f). Tomorrow it will be 15c (59f) so it is a nice day to travel.
Now to get back to typing!

My sister is bringing a "new" kind of ham recipe you make in a cooking bag with brown sugar & onion. Let it sit in the oven overnight & then it just shreds apart in the morning for sandwiches. They say it is delicious so I can't wait to try!

That sounds awfully good! Could you please get that recipe and post it--?

Well, I do have the gold glitter speedo on that Valerie gave me!!! Everyone else is in swimsuits from the Victorian area though!!!! LOL!!!!


There is also karaoke going on over in the main bar. Jayish is rocking it!!!!

Jayish is posting on FB that he is upset he too did not get the job. So I did some checking with very close sources at CBS and found this out...

Bottom line, due to Jayish and Binger's association with the Pines and a certain camel who will remain nameless, CBS just couldn't hire them. Too many stories floating around about what goes on at our favorite retreat. CBS execs know that if pictures or video was ever released it could be a major scandal and they just don't need that kind of heat!

Boo!!!! Jayish and Binger together would have been the most watched late night show of all time!!!!

As for the picture's. Wimps!!! Don't they realize the free publicity that they would have gotten!!!!

This is just another instance of the man perpetrating a falsehood to keep a brutha down...

or something...

I told Binger that all that talk of me in tights was going to come back and bite us...:-o

They are wimps I tell you!!!! Wimps!!!!

I think it was the leopard print thong that ended up being the deciding factor.

You nut! 4 am!!! It's a beautiful (WINDY) day here too. I spent my lunch outside chatting with my neighbor & chasing Gracie. It was so nice to be outside! Sorry your allergies are bothering you! NOTHING happens in this area without everyone finding out. :lol: Small town life! Birthday girl made an executive decision we are going tonight. Sent a text to everybody. I responded that maybe another night we can all grill out at the lake & have a bonfire or something. No response at all from the friend that can't go. Ah well - she will get over it eventually! She's 45, not 15! Geesh!

So it's Mexican food for me tonight. Mmmmmmmm.....

Got what we needed and also had time to visit the Fort Gratiot lighthouse. This is the oldest operating lighthouse on the USA side of the Great Lakes .

I am in shock right now! We just had a visit from my ex husband (father to both my grown children) and ex mother-in-law. That is probably stirring up bad images but not to worry! We are all still very good friends!

My ex mother-in-law has a beautiful Christmas village that she use to set up every year but hasn't bothered with it in the past few Christmases. Very huge set up with mechanical parts, working fountains and waterfalls. She said she is giving the whole thing to me! She has 4 grown kids, numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren but she wants me to have it!!! She knows how much I love Christmas and said I am the one who will get it because she knows how much I will cherish it! It will not be a conflict with anyone, they don't mind me having it either. It will stay in the family and eventually her great grandchildren will inherit it.

I am so touched by this gesture. It has made my day!

Now I have to figure out where am I going to set all this up at??? I have a large collection already. I will come up with something!

Thanks HomemakinGirl! I have to be careful though; keep on my toes in regards to when me and the boy are going out somewhere, when he calls, and say's lets hang out or do something, 9 out 10 times, it means that he needs something and Dad's buying.....:-o The last time that happened, it was his car and when the Mrs came home and saw what I spent that day on him, out of the corner of my eye I saw him sliding around the corner of the family room, disappearing to his room. I could almost hear him say,"whoops Mom's home, exit stage left...", Dad, you can handle this.....Hmmmmmm, can we say, lets butter Dad up today!!!!LoL! Kids, ya just gotta love em~

I know what you mean. I also have to deal with that, times three!
