From my sister:

Jay is back in his room, he did well but this is still a very critical time, he's still on the vent. It was a 5 hr. Surgery and he did do the 5 bypass. The main artery was 95% blocked. He said most men with that would come in the hospital as a sudden death. God has a purpose for Jay yet! Plz continue your prayers, he has a long road ahead yet!

I'm glad the surgery went well, continued prayers and lots of hugs coming your way.

I had on, Jesus of Nazareth, earlier today. My granddaughter was playing and in and out of the room. She started watching the part where Jesus is raising Lazarus from the dead. As she watched closely she got real serious and said, "Will Lazarus be up in time for Christmas"?!

She is 4 years old so of course she didn't understand it all but I explained it to her! =)

That's great to hear!!!!! Still praying.

Good evening!
I'm going to turn in soon. I was up with Maggie a lot last night and I'm very tired. We met with the specialist earlier and I am glad we did. He was very thorough and really took his time with us. He doesn't believe she has COPD, due to the fact that she isn't responding to the medications and from reviewing all of her test results. He said she has a classic case of a collapsing trachea, which is more common in these small breeds. Her veterinarian suspected an issue with the trachea as well, so we weren't surprised. It will most likely get progressively worse. For now we will try and keep her comfortable with a higher dose of a cough suppressant. That is the only medicine she will be on as of right now. And we will be very careful about triggers like excitement, stress, heat, humidity or even frigid temperatures. Oh and I definitely can't walk her anymore. I'm hoping that I'll be able to manage it. Fingers crossed!
I hope everyone is well and enjoys the rest of their evening!
See you in the morning, Goodnight!

Bless her heart!

All 3 of my chihuahuas have had that issue and it is common with small breeds. They never had chronic issues from it that required any medical attention. I pray that Maggie gets some relief from the medication!

Too cute!!

I told her mom about it and she responded, "LOL, too much time with grandma"!

My grandkids think about Christmas all year just like I do!

That's awesome!! They look up to you, and obviously adore you!

My niece just told me over the weekend that she couldn't wait for Christmas to get here!!!! I was so proud of her!!!!!!

That was interesting, we just saw a possum on our front porch! It might be a common animal for some but not around here. I have no idea where he came from! We saw one around here several years ago but not since then. He came up to eat some cat food we had on the porch. I think they are cool, I wonder if he will come back?!

Wow!

Do y'all ever get armadillos around there? I know there's a ton I them in west Texas but not sure if they make it that far east.
