It is a bee-yootiful day out there---sunshine and up into the 60s. We have our windows open to let in the fresh air and blow out the cold germs. It's nice to hear birds again! We're going to drive to Friendly's for lunch and some ice cream shortly. (I have to eat hearty today, 'cause tomorrow all I get is clear liquids and Jell-O---prepping for a minor procedure on Monday. Nothing to worry about, it's just a test to establish a baseline. Goes with the age bracket.)

Hoping everything went well.

From my sister:

Jay is back in his room, he did well but this is still a very critical time, he's still on the vent. It was a 5 hr. Surgery and he did do the 5 bypass. The main artery was 95% blocked. He said most men with that would come in the hospital as a sudden death. God has a purpose for Jay yet! Plz continue your prayers, he has a long road ahead yet!

Continued prayers for Jay! {{{HUGS}}}

Good evening!
I'm going to turn in soon. I was up with Maggie a lot last night and I'm very tired. We met with the specialist earlier and I am glad we did. He was very thorough and really took his time with us. He doesn't believe she has COPD, due to the fact that she isn't responding to the medications and from reviewing all of her test results. He said she has a classic case of a collapsing trachea, which is more common in these small breeds. Her veterinarian suspected an issue with the trachea as well, so we weren't surprised. It will most likely get progressively worse. For now we will try and keep her comfortable with a higher dose of a cough suppressant. That is the only medicine she will be on as of right now. And we will be very careful about triggers like excitement, stress, heat, humidity or even frigid temperatures. Oh and I definitely can't walk her anymore. I'm hoping that I'll be able to manage it. Fingers crossed!
I hope everyone is well and enjoys the rest of their evening!
See you in the morning, Goodnight!

I'm glad you have a diagnosis ~ praying that the treatment works and that Maggie's symptoms will not worsen. {{{HUGS}}}

That was interesting, we just saw a possum on our front porch! It might be a common animal for some but not around here. I have no idea where he came from! We saw one around here several years ago but not since then. He came up to eat some cat food we had on the porch. I think they are cool, I wonder if he will come back?!

That particular critter loves cat food, so if you put food out, s/he will be back if able. The ones here usually wait until the cats are done eating before they forage for pellets and if we go outside, they run. I did see a couple of them have a disagreement, but the smaller one stood over the biggest pile of food and then the bigger one backed off.

Well it's really small flakes and it's melting as soon as it hits the ground but it is SNOWING out there!!!!!

Ended up with about a half inch here and the majority of it melted today. 35 miles or so south of here, there was over 4 inches and the roads were real nasty early this morning. If it wasn't so cold out, it would be lovely ~ a low in the teens after a night of a low in the 60's makes for rather intolerable temperatures.

Last night, I was in the middle of reading the posts and watching the weather and the dish goes black. The rain stopped and it got earily quiet. All of the sudden, the tornado warning on my phone started going off, so we started getting shoes on and getting ready to go to the school. Three minutes later, the hardest rain I've seen in five years started and the town tornado sirens started blaring....

Talk about scared.

In the past, I would go out and watch the weather....now with Bambina, I got really nervous and uptight. All passed about 20 minutes later and we are good, but it was a little nerve-wrecking here. There was rotation about 8 miles east of town. As a general rule everyone in the community is aware of, the sirens sound when a tornado is in a 15 mile radius of our town.

All good. Just a lot of rain and high winds.

Oh my, that must have been scary ~ so glad everything is okay!

Merry Tuesday! Good morning! I have just skimmed over a few posts really quickly, I hope I have not missed any major news.

The children just woke me up with breakfast in bed. They are only 6 and 2 and they are not allowed to use the toaster or kettle so the result was a glass of milk and buttered slices of bread :) It melted my heart.

I am just popping in quickly before we head out for the day. We are going to Eureka , a children's museum about an hour away. It is a beautiful day, the birds are singing, new flowers have bloomed and not a cloud in sight.

Have a wonderful day everybody!

That was so sweet of your kids, Festive! Have a great day!

On Sunday we will meet in front of our church at 5:45am to light the Easterfire.....we then walk into the church after a morning prayer, holding candles that were all light thru the Easter Fire........inside the service will be held........after the service the people will have breakfast together in church.

Today and tomorrow, our church is offering handcrafting afternoons for kids....Kandice has been going there for the last two years and will go again today....She loves it.....they bake things there, they handcraft things and sing songs, too. While she is there....I will go to the stores to find the Easter presents

Beautiful church, track! Sounds like a very nice service you are going to ~ wish I could join you!

Good morning friends.

I set my alarm to see the eclipse at about two this morning. It was pretty cool!

Speaking of the eclipse...

Carl called this morning and y'all don't even want to know. In honor of this week's unusual lunar events, Carl is debuting a new special blend called Blood Moon. And, just for me, in honor of it snowing in Oklahoma smack in the middle of tornado season, a second special blend is available tomorrow called "Snownado." I'm afraid!

I'm happy you were able to see the eclipse. I was awake, but there was too much cloud cover.
Did you know there is a new John Wayne biography out?

Thank you CS! My nephew texted this morning saying they took him off the vent at 3am, which is the 1st step of a 3 step process to get him out on time. I'm not sure what that means, other than maybe they have a time frame they want him totally breathing on his own & that's a 3 step process? Anyway - it's progress. He's still critical, but hopefully getting stronger every minute.

Thanks to all of you for all the prayers!

Thank you for the update, Holiday! I will continue to pray! {{{HUGS}}}

She is doing pretty good. Her back is giving her some trouble because her right foot is still weak and that is causing her to walk a little lopsided. Other than that though, she is back to normal.

Aww, that was sweet of them!!!! Hope you had a great time at the museum!!!!!

I'm glad your mom is doing better. I will keep her in my prayers! {{{HUGS}}}

I see I'm not the only one that had problems with MMC today. I couldn't log on for hours!
I've been stuck in the house all day, it been raining non stop. And its awfully windy out there. We may get some snow over night, we'll see what happens.
You have all been in my thoughts today. I hope everyone is well and having a great day so far.
Well I'm about to put dinner on the table and I have some other chores to do afterwards. But I will pop back in later!

Can you believe this, Yesterday 65 degrees! Right now, we have sleet bouncing off the back deck right now.... It's some crazy weather we are having this time of year!

I'm upstairs doing bills and sorting paperwork, etc.... Yup, it's a fun night! Think I'll turn on some Christmas music while I'm doing them to help pass the time along!

What are you up to tonight?

Mother nature just doesn't like us this year!!!

Have fun listening to the Christmas Music!!!!!

Well we set 2 new records today. The first time that it has ever snowed on April 15th and the coldest April 15th ever with a high of just 38 degree's. This is also the first time since 2001 that we have had snow in April and we have officially reached 3 tenths of inch now.
