My kids had to do all that too, but they also had to throw in riding their bikes! :)

Oh they had to do that too. I don't know how I could forget that. I had to adjust seats, handlebars, and training wheels for them.

I just wanted to share a few things with y'all. A few weeks ago, I was at such a low in my life because of the pain and tiredness. I kept thinking that I would never get my energy back and I felt I would have to take meds for the pain forever. I felt sorry for myself and really almost lost it with a crying jag that I knew would not stop if it got started. I had to pick up my prescription of Arimidex yesterday and FINALLY read the info sheet of the side effects. You see, my oncologist had given me enough samples that I did not have to get the prescription yet. I am sure some of you know how extra, super, tiny the print is on the info sheet that comes with samples. I had hardly been able to read it, so I TOTALLY missed all the valuable info on the side effects. Yesterday, the info sheet that the pharmacist had printed out (in 12 point font) was large enough print that I could read. I found out that the pain and tiredness were included in the side effects. I am not going crazy!!! Now that there is an explanation, I feel so much better mentally. I joined a forum with others who are going through the same thing. I must admit that I am lucky in one respect: the other ladies have awful hot flashes. I have never had one, even during my menopause years; knock on wood!!! The side effects normally get progressively worse, but at least now I know what to expect. If I can keep the pain under control with meds, then I know I can get through this! You cannot believe what a burden has been lifted.
So sorry to hear that you've been suffering through some dark days.
I'm glad you can take comfort in talking to others and sharing your experiences.
You are in my thoughts and I wish you wonderful spring days to uplift your spirit!
It is a time of renewal for all of us- God bless!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day with a high of 77. I'm going to try and make it through the day without turning on the A/C, it's going to be pushing it though. Then rain moves in this evening. I have lots of stuff to get caught up on today. I've already got laundry going and should hit the dishes here soon. Then running the sweeper, mopping, and all of that other good stuff. All I really want to do is sit here though. It's been a busy past 3 days. So I guess we will see how much I really get done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like your day was much like mine!
Kids and grandkids here yesterday for big ham and turkey dinner and Easter egg hunt.
SO much fun, but today is cleaning and laundry catch up!
Happy Spring everyone!

Finally home from my sister's. The whole exploding tire at 60mph then realizing that the spare tire in your mom's car has a bent rim and doesn't hold air anymore was a fun way to end the day. Oh and the guy at walmart that took 55 minutes to put a new tire on the rim was a nice addition too. It's a good thing that there was no one in front of us. Oh well, what fun is life with out a little drama?? LOL!!!! Well I'm off to eat some dinner then I'll be back to catch up here in a bit.

How scary! Thank God no one was hurt!!

Things are moving quickly, but lots of rain is in the forecast. I had to have more Vitamin B shots and had to go in for my Zometa infusion--yuck! I finally learned that the Zometa and the Arimidex (the once-a-day cancer medicine that I have to take for five years) are probably the cause of the pain and the tiredness. At least now I know why I am so tired and hurt so much. That is really half the battle! TTYL

Hoping the rain bypasses your area!
It must be such a relief to know what is causing your symptoms! You remain in my prayers, my dear friend! {{{HUGS}}}

Well at least you gave them all a laugh!!!!

I was hurting like crazy when those ants were biting me all up, screaming and was kicking my flip flops off in the yard. I ran like crazy in the house then as I stood in the bath washing all the ants off my feet I started laughing thinking how I must have looked out there. I live across the street from an elementary school, I bet the kids were watching me too! That was probably the best entertainment they had all day! :D

I just seem to find humor in just about anything even if I get hurt! Ha ha!

I would die with out my banana's!! I know what you are saying though. My family laughs at me because I'm not crazy about spaghetti. I just keep thinking about worms and snakes when I eat it. So If I make it, I cut it up in to small little piece's. I prefer to just use another type of pasta though.

Have you ever seen "The Lost Boys"?

Good Easter evening MMC! Hard to believe the Easter weekend is coming to an end. It's kinda like the post Christmas blues setting in!! :(

Jay did make an appearance at Easter & he looks really good! They probably stayed 1 1/2 hrs. Everyone was SO happy to see all of them & he is extra thankful right now! My brother mentioned that today could have been the day after the funeral, instead (thankfully) it was a great day of celebration! And what a beautiful day it was! It was almost HOT sitting in the back yard. (not complaining!) I had to break out the shorts today. Love it! After the family left we sat outside in our neighbors back yard with 3 other neighbors/families. What an awesome day!

Made - so glad you are ok! How scary!!!!

Snowflake - what an adorable picture of Harlowe! Gracie is out like a light - she had a big day! Buster is snoozing too, but he slept through most of the party.

Seawaters - so glad you got some answers. Keeping you in my prayers!

I think I'm going to turn in soon, but I don't want too b/c before I know it the alarm will be going off & it's back to work! Wishing I would have taken tomorrow off! Ah well - back at it! Have a great night everyone!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Aw, it is awesome that Jay made an appearance! I'm glad you had a lovely Easter!

Good evening,

We had a very nice day here today, the roast beef was very tasty. I wrapped it in bacon and the flavor of the bacon really permeated the meat. YUM!!!
LC pretty much ate everything in his basket today, it was tough to keep an eye on him while trying to prepare everything. I am surprised he didn't get a bellyache. The Easter Bunny introduced the boys to Garbage Pail Kids, they loved them! It made me realize how much I loved them as a child.

I called my grandparents to wish them a Happy Easter, and she told me they are going to be selling their house and moving in with my aunt and uncle. I grew up in that house, so it is sad to hear. They are starting to give away stuff and my grandmother told me she is giving me her Santa Claus collection. I was touched and it brought tears to my eyes, I am going to cherish that.

I have to head to bed soon, work will beckon early. I hope you all had a great Easter.

Good night, everyone.

I'm sorry that your grandparents are moving, but happy that your grandmother is going to give you her Santa Claus collection. She knows you will cherish the pieces!

Merry Monday! I quickly browsed through the posts and it looks like you all had a lovely Easter.

Ours was good. The children enjoyed their egg hunt around the house yesterday morning. They got so many eggs that they wanted to share some with the neighbour kids :) I am usually in work on Sundays so it was nice to be home. Mr. Festive made a delicious roast dinner while I did some craft with the kids. After we ate , the kids played out for a bit and then we all watched Hop.

Today is the last day of the 4 day weekend. Work and school resumes for Mr. Festive and my eldest tomorrow. My youngest and I will miss them being around. It has been such a wonderful holiday break. I have had a couple weeks without the school run so I am not looking forward to tomorrow morning :)

The days are lighter, longer and the weather milder. It sure does make a difference to one's mood and spirit!!

I hope you all have a fantastic start to the week!

That was so sweet of your kids, Festive! I'm glad you had a lovely Easter and I hope that you have a fantastic week, too!

She didn't sleep well last night but she's hanging in there. She is so hyper sensitive to everything. Molly didn't act anything like this when she had her ear infection. Maggie was rolling all over the bed last night, she was so restless. Hopefully the medicine is helping. Thank you so much for asking!
Was your mom feeling any better this weekend?

Aw, poor Maggie. Praying the meds have started to work!

Good morning!
It's another chilly morning with temperatures in the mid 30's, we will have a high of 55 today.
Typical Monday, spring break is over and everyone is back to school and work. I need to run a couple of quick errands and get started on daily chores. I'm making chicken tortilla soup for dinner and I just realized the recipe calls for lime juice, so I need to pick up a couple of limes at the supermarket. I swear I'm in there practically every day for something I forgot to buy! My oldest has a follow up appointment with the ENT later this morning. And I need to take my youngest shopping again this afternoon for prom shoes. We went the other day but didn't find anything that she liked. The gown came in and she is scheduled to have alterations this Thursday so we need the shoes!
That's about it for me, I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Praying your daughter has good news at the ENT!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! On Saturday we went for our morning walk at the Arboretum then Wayne and I went to pick up my dad for a trip to the historic Downtown McKinney, Texas. While looking around the shops, look what we saw! (Picture below). Don't you love discovering Christmas stuff in the spring??? It was a small section but a pleasant surprise! After that we went out for lunch. That night was our annual tradition of watching the 10 Commandments. Have it on DVD but it's a must to watch on TV! =)

Wayne and I went to Easter church service Sunday morning then headed to work just to feed the animals but we were closed for the day. We left from there to pick up my parents and treated them to Easter lunch. Came home and chilled out for the day.

My grandchildren were in Galveston, Texas for the weekend so I did not get to see them on Easter. They will be here today and I will give them their gifts then. They had a blast!!!

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter weekend!!!

I'm glad you and SIT had a lovely Easter! I was thinking yesterday about how much I miss seeing "The Ten Commandments" on television ~ we used to watch it every year.

Thanks, Meceka! DH actually got the kids up early and brought their baskets out to my parents, had them open them up there, before went to church and even surprised me with my flowers. I didn't miss it after all. Best hubby and daddy!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter! (((hugs)))

Oh, that was so sweet of your husband! I'm so glad that you didn't miss out!!!

.

Well, that was fun! I went out in my front yard to check on my plants wearing flip flops and stood right in an ant pile. My feet were covered in ants. I bet the neighbors were wondering why I was dancing in my front yard.

Yep, that's about how I looked too!
