Christmas Countdown - 2014

Whew!!! Crazy night at the carnival but went about how I expected. Was just supposed to go and help out if needed and ended up running the food by myself after the other 3 people disappeared. 2 of which where my family members!!! Then had to stay and do most of the cleaning while everyone else was standing around talking. Oh well, like I said, that was what I expected to happen.

Now I'm exhausted and going to head to bed. I'll catch up tomorrow.

So my husband came with us to the boutique and she was a totally different person. She apologized for ordering the dress too big and offered to take it in at no charge. I still had to pay to have it hemmed but I had absolutely no problem paying for that. There was just no way I was going to pay for the entire dress to be reconstructed because she ordered it too big. She is insisting that the dress will look perfect after the alterations. We shall see, I'm praying she is right. We go back in two weeks for the fitting. Fingers crossed!!!

I am relived that things have worked out. Funny how she changed her tune when she saw your husband........
I bet she had time to think throughout the day and realised she was being unhelpful, atleast she came to her senses!

back from doctor, turns out it was all in my head !
Ear, throat and sinus infection. He put me on cefprozil for 10 days and I have to come back if not better by then.

I hope and pray that the cefprozil works quickly and you are bact to being a 100% soon.

Today has been a rough one.
I know we all have so many people to pray for. May I ask you to include a young couple in a terrible accident last night? This married couple were dear dear friends of my daughter's. Their car hit a stopped semi in a construction zone and my daughter's girlfriend, age 33, was killed immediately, her husband is on life support with severe head injuries and not expected to make it.
They have a 2 year old and a 4 week old infant who were not in the vehicle.
These young people were beloved by many. Please remember this family in your prayers if you have the chance. Thanks so much!

Such a tragic story, I was upset to read it even though I don't them. Sending prayers for the family.

Hope you all have had a great day! DH and I went out for dinner tonight, then tomorrow we're headed to NYC with my parents, my sister, and her boyfriend on a bus trip. I hope you all have a great day tomorrow. I'll try to tomorrow to read through some of the posts, if not I'll get to them Sunday. Goodnight!

Merry Morning. It is Saturday , My favourite day of the week.

We located the problem in the kitchen, a burst pipe line. Mr. Festive fixed the pipe straight away so now it is about getting the water and water logged under flooring to dry out. I could do with a few days of dry, warm weather right about now but no such luck...........

Anyway these things happen, it's part of life and there are far worse

I am at work tomorrow so I probably won't be back till Monday.

Thank you , this is what I was most nervous about. Thankfully DH fixed the pipe line himself and fingers crossed the under flooring will dry out and we won't have to do any major repair to it.

Not a bad day at work today, I was able to get a lot done in the freezer stockroom to be ready for my inventory next week.
I am a wee bit tired tonight, our day out yesterday, and the late ending of the Bruins game had something to do with that.

I still cannot think straight! I was going to try for McCartney tickets tomorrow but money is still a bit tight. We were hoping for something affordable ones but now since we won, no worries! We can keep our money and I am sure the tickets will be somewhat better than the ones we had planned to buy.

Most of you know what a HUGE fan I am of the Beatles/Paul McCartney and John, George & Ringo, some of you might not know. I am their biggest fan - ever! Yeah, really! No one else loves them as much as I do. :lol:

A month after the Paul concert we will see Ringo for the first time. This will be our 4th time to see Paul. (I think I might have mentioned that already). Sure wish John and George were still with us!
