Didn't we just have a Milestone Day yesterday?

Days to the Season: 200
Days to Christmas Day: 242

And as can be seen as plainly as the beard on Santa's chin, we have arrived at the TWO HUNDRED DAY SEASON WINDOW!!
Now, this can mean only one thing -- that tomorrow sees the start of our 100's level Season count numbers.
(Scarcely seems possible!)


Fantastic day yesterday, with moderate temps, sunny skies, no rain, little pollen and no wind to speak of.
Mother Nature is spoiling me. I guess she forgave me for my earlier critical remarks. But beware - Ms. Nature can be quite fickle.
(OOPS! Oh, no. I'm doomed. NEVER accuse Mother Nature of being fickle!)
Our temp? Fifty-eight degrees here, currently.

I really want to have a tree like this again! I'm just scared to take the chance & spend the money and not be satisfied with what I get/how it turns out. The Vermont Country Store has some neat vintage trees & color wheels!! So tempting!

Are you a bigger fan of the earlier Beatles or the second half Beatles?
What is your favorite Beatles album?
Hope you have fun at both concerts!

That is the hardest question in the whole world! I just love it all! I guess it was the second half of the Beatles career that got me to be a fan in the first place then I explored all their music. I will never be able to pick a favorite song or album. My husband caught me on that one. Over time I didn't realize that every time a song would come on I would say, "That's my favorite song"! He finally said, "They are all your favorite songs"! Ha ha! I guess he's right! I can say that I have favorite albums depending on what I am in the mood to listen to. Right now I would say, Abbey Road! But next week it could be, Help!

It is very interesting how they evolved from lovey pop songs to more in depth lyrics and successfully pulled it off! I am not sure about Ob La Di Ob La Da, ha ha, but I love that song anyway! They accomplished this in only 7 years from releasing their first album to when they broke up in 1970. Of course they formed the band in the 50's with different members but released their first album in '63. Some say it's too bad they ever broke up when they did and it took me awhile to realized it was the best thing to do! They went out on top with their last album being Abbey Road! Some think it's Let it Be because they released it after Abbey Road but Let it Be was recorded earlier. Who knows how many flops they "might" have had if they kept going. I do mean MIGHT have had! :lol:

What does your Sunday look like?

It is in the 30's now, and raining. It's supposed to rain all day, with a high of 46 degrees. So, we won't be spending much time outside. I have some things to do around the house, and then we were thinking of grilling out for dinner. We'll just have to see if the weather allows us to.

Not too much going on here today, the girls & my husband will all be working for a few hours. I'm hoping we'll all meet up for dinner, I'm going to pick up some fresh raviolis at a little pasta store that's nearby. They even carry gluten free ravioli so I can have them too!
I hope the rain lets up and you can spend some time outside. I bet you're loving your new work schedule and having weekends off!!!

We took my dad and grandson to see the Blue Angels yesterday. What a blast!!! Since we were up against the fence line my grandson got to meet several of the Blue Angels crew. It was his first air show and he loved it!

I sure hate to, post and run, but I got to go! I only got to read a few post.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Saturday..... I did, I spent all day hanging out with my grandfather (pop-pop). I drove over to the other county and picked him up this morning and brought him here to see our house for the first time. I wanted to wait until it was good weather until I brought him up here; he's 95.

I wanted him to see the house before construction starts on the back of our home in a week. This is phase 2 out of 3, of a planned renovation that is in order to be done before he can move in with us. Our hopes are to have him living with us by the Fall. Phase 3 is the conversion of our basement to a full size apartment just for him.

I also got the chance today to start bringing my outdoor Christmas decorations here, that I had stored in one of his out buildings. I have one more pick-up truck load to get and then I will have it all here....

So, what's happening with everyone else tonight?

that is wonderful, I pray all goes well with the renovations so you can get him settled quickly.

Prom is in the books and it was a success. One of the better proms I remember in years. Going to check the weather and then head to bed. Rain is slated to start around noon and it's supposed to be an interesting day. We will see.

Probably going to look at a few Christmas sites before bed, so y'all be good! Got caught up for the most part today. I hate that I don't get to come everyday like I used to, but I guess that's part of having a little one.

Good morning!
It is going to be mostly sunny today with temperatures in the mid 50's. I think I'm going to take a walk outside today instead of going on the treadmill. Still hate that darn treadmill. But I've been pushing myself to go on it just about everyday.
I have a couple of errands to run and then I'll be working on some chores around the house. My husband has a few things to do on the kitchen cabinets. He said they're just about ready to go to the finisher. We're still debating on the color but we're leaning towards an antique white. That will look good with the dark brown floors. Oh and we still have to pick out stone for the counters. And also figure out what we are going to do for a backsplash. My husband said he may use tile for the backsplash. We've been looking at pictures of kitchens on Houzz, its a great website to get ideas. So there's still a lot to do but we're getting there. My husband said his goal is to have the cabinets in the house by May 11th, our wedding anniversary. That would be nice!
