Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Holiday]

Good morning!
We are expecting more rain today. The flooding is awful in some areas, I can't imagine another day of rain to top it off.
Not too much going on for me today. I have a couple of quick errands to run. I wanted to go to Whole Foods but it's on the other side of the island and I don't feel like driving all the way there in the pouring rain. I think I'm going to run to a local health food store and pick up a few things. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house. And since I can't go for a walk outside I guess I'll have to hit the treadmill again.

It's overcast here in south GA this morning, but at least it's not bad weather like our neighboring states endured.

I have to go to a meeting tonight at church. Apparently, a couple of our members called the district superintendant to complain about our preacher (who almost all of us LOVE), and now it's turned into a big deal. I hate church dissension. Folks are supposed to contact the lay leader or the pastor-parish committee if they have a problem. They are not supposed to contact the pastor's supervisor directly. I understand that our pastor, who is a new pastor (we are his first church), has had his feelings hurt, and has requested to be moved. I know I should turn the other cheek, but I'm planning to speak my mind about a few people, who are too cowardly to identify themselves, making decisions for the entire church. Grrr.

My energy was horrible again yesterday but hopefully will be better today.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cool day here with a high of just 56 degree's. At least the sun is out. Not a whole lot going on for me today. I just need to get a few final things packed and then sleep. I can't sleep on a moving vehicle so I'll probably be up from sometime this evening to tomorrow night. So the more sleep I get today, the better. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Brace yourself! I have some good...no no no...awesome news! My Wife is pregnant! Baby #2! And that's just HALF of the awesomeness.....the baby is due at Christmas!!! We will know the sex as soon as we can. woo hoo! William said he wants a baby sister. Hope everyone is doing well. I really want Christmas to come now! haha!

PS Carl is throwing a extra big bash at the Pines tonight!!!

I think this is the best piece of news any person can ever get. Many congratulations to your family!

Just took the dogs out back, the rain finally let up for a few minutes. I snapped a picture of Molly while we were out there. Maggie ran back inside as fast as she could. It's already starting to rain again and is supposed to continue through tomorrow.

I was in a chruch years ago with a similar problem, it was not good.
When you get to the meeting announce that it is now a prayer meeting and will continue until you hear from the Lord even if it takes all night. It is really hard to fight when you are all on your knees.

Brad, it's so good of you to stand up for what's right, even though it's unpleasant. You'll probably find that a lot of people there are thinking the same as you, but they're waiting for someone like you to speak up first. We don't have Natural Grocers here. We have Trader Joe's, which I love but it's just as far as Whole Foods. We have local health food stores but everything is so overpriced. I would be very happy if a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's opened up in my area!

This has been a busy but long day!!! Probably because I'm excited to go out for Mexican for my friends b-day tonight. Lol! Buster woke me at 6:15 this morning to go outside, so I laced up my shoes & got a 3 mile walk in! I wasn't planning on walking but since we are going out for Mexican tonight, it was much needed! :smile: It's been a beautiful, but chilly/windy day. At least the sun is shining - sometimes!

I'm going to try to catch up on some posts before it's time to go home! Hope you are all having a wonderful 1st day of May!!!
