My cactus thinks it's Christmastime again---it's full of buds and it's going to bloom any day now.

Just getting recharged today for another workweek. Weekends are way too short these days!

Can you believe it's only two months until July 4th? Crazy!

I agree, the weekend was too short!

I find it hard to believe what date it is as there are hardly any leaves on the trees here ~ the winter was so harsh for them and this spring has been rather cold, too. My lilacs are just now starting to leaf out ~ usually they are about done flowering by now. The bumble bees will be so happy when the flowers open up! cheesy

We're finally back home, weekend homework finished, supper over, time to put on the pj's and stretch out.

After church, we went to mom's for dinner. My brother came with a couple of his buddies to work on the house he bought next door to mom. The house was ready to move in to, but his girlfriend didn't like the shower, she prefers a bath. We've been trying to remodel the bathroom for a month. Grrrr, that girl kills me. We spent the day just trying to figure the logistics of the new plumbing requirements. Oh well.

Today would have been my dad's 74th birthday. I love & miss you, dad, and I still think of you everyday.

Good morning!
It is going to be partly sunny today with a high of 63 degrees. We're only in the mid 40's right now. I just tried to open up the back door so the cats could look outside but it's still too chilly out there.
My youngest wasn't feeling well when she came home from work yesterday so I let her stay home today and sleep in. I'm hoping she'll feel better after getting some rest. I'm going to make her a big pot of chicken soup.
Not too much else going on for me, typical day of errands and chores.
I hope everyone is well and has a very Happy Monday!!!

How is Maggie doing? I pray she is doing better with the new meds!

Thanks Sugar, I hope you have a good day today as well! One thing that I am going to do today is to plant about 7 Maple trees. They are offsprings, of a Maple tree that my grandfather planted with his dad back in 1940 at his house. I am going to plant them here at my new home today. I wanted my grandfather to see that in a lot of ways....

I have also planted another 58 trees since we moved here at the end of December on a bottom acre that I have and don't plan to use. I planted Pin Oaks, White Oaks, Birch, Hazelnuts and Dogwoods.... I thought that it would be nice to return the land back to it's original condition to help bring the deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc... back to my property...

That is a lovely thing to do for your grandfather, xmastidings!
