Thank you SF~

It, of course, was a very an unexpected find, but however it's fixed now.

I have felt like a whole different person ever since I started taking that position in life, trying (and yes, it hard at times) looking at everything as though the glass is half full instead of half empty....

I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well~

Stay warm and dry and may the sun shine on you always....:-D

Thanks, friend!!

To you as well!

((Hugs)) :rudolph:

Thank you my friend.

Hopefully your weekend with be full of happiness :sparkle:

Thank you, friend!!
Wishing you much happiness too!

Hey there! Just checking in. Been really pre-occupied with the house renovations and also in my spare time work.... Well, things (of course), did not go as well as expected. The walls were opened up and behold.... carpenter ants, wood rot and mold! Nice!!!! The ants had eaten thru the 2x6 studs, sub-flooring, plywood, king studs, jack studs, headers, etc... it was a mess. So, I called exterminators, they sprayed for hours...

Then my GC called for some more help from his contacts, I had 3 carpenters and 4 masons, 2 alarm guys, all working at the house this week. I'm going to get clobbered with a big change order... However, they have been moving along really fast, the exterior of the house has been put back together and the new windows installed and vinyl siding went up yesterday. I did all the electrical work myself. The masons have finished up their work and have left. They are putting in exterior doors today and next week, they should have the drywall work all done on the inside and the stone work on the exterior should be wrapped up as well.

I'm not sad, a little bummed; yes, but not sad. I sort of look at this way, it's better to find out things now, get them fixed and move on and not dwell on things...tomorrows another day! And then after everything is fixed, I should not ever have to worry about those things ever again~ I'm trying to look at things in life as an optimist instead of having a pessimistic point of view of things!!!!

No work scheduled on the house this weekend other that what I, myself may get into from the honey-do list! Well, better get back to work: talk to you in a bit!

Sorry to hear that you ran into those hiccups, friend.

You have a great attitude, though! Tomorrow's another day! I, too, am a glass half full kind of person =]

Hope the rest of your day goes well, and that you have a fabulous weekend!!

:snowball:

I agree, fantastic attitude, Xmastidings! Tomorrow is another day! =)
I know you will be happy when everything is done but understand the frustration.

I am also, "glass half full kind of person"! Frustrated at times? Yes I am but I try to remain optimistic.

The only time I worry myself crazy is when there is an ill family member or furry family member. I struggle with the "glass half full" but maybe that is just natural to feel that way. Was going through that with my dad this week.

When it comes to materialistic things, I am very optimistic! :D

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit cooler here today with a high in the mid 70's. Not to much on my agenda for today. I just need to get some laundry done and my bedroom organized. Also need to go get mom's prescriptions filled. Other than that, I'm just hoping to relax. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I hope you're able to find some down time today!

Hello all. I was away yesterday but have returned. I hope you all have a great Friday and a relaxing weekend!

Happy Friday Ryan!

Praying the dress looks just as beautiful now that they are done with it.

She is doing okay. The muscle in her arm is still hurting but she is good otherwise.

Thanks Made!
I'm glad your mom is doing good, praying that her pain goes away!

She is hanging in, thanks. Doing better, still having pain but that's to be expected for a bit. She has her knee brace off, and is walking without a cane. Slowly, but surely!

Thanks again, HmG!

xx

So glad she is a little better, continued prayers for a speedy recovery xx

Good luck shopping!!

Hoping & praying that all goes well with the alterations for your daughter's dress

((Hugs!))

Thank you!
We picked the dress up and it looks beautiful on her. There are a few things that are bothering me but I have to let it go. I definitely do not want to upset my daughter. If she's happy, I'm happy!

If you aren't on Pinterest, you need to be. DH and I have found so many recipes on there.

(Made, you can quit laughing now!!!) He thinks I spend too much time on there! :)

I am not on Pinterest, I'll have to check it out!
Hope you're having a great day!

Good evening everyone :-)

Merry Christmas :tree:

Good evening Irishsnow!!!

I treated my mom to lunch today for Mother's Day. We then went to Whole Foods to shop. While I was there I bought my mom some fragrant soaps for a Mother's Day gift.

My dad came to my house to use to computer while we were gone. He looked great, had good color and being his old self. He was so sick all week and I was just so darn happy he felt great today! He even went grocery shopping this morning so I am happy he had some energy for that. When we got back my dad and I looked at videos together on Youtube. We both love air shows and military aircraft and sometimes sit together looking those up and watching them. Daddy/Daughter time!

I cannot believe how much my dad and I have in common! We live close by each other and occasionally the air museum nearby bring in old military aircraft that they take people up in them for rides. They fly over our neighborhood and my dad and I spend all day calling each other saying, "Look out the window, the B24, B17 is flying over"! Ha ha! That kind of stuff bores my mom but we love it!

My mom and I love water parks, amusement parks, picnics, traveling (all with the grandchildren), going out to eat and more. My dad and I love aviation museums, air shows, antique/collectable shopping, craft shopping, talking about old Hollywood movie history (there's one for you, MerryCarey!) and more. My grandsons usually join us on all the aviation stuff. My granddaughter joins us on the shopping!

If my dad feels well enough tomorrow he might go to a new air museum we have not been to yet with me, Snow-in-Texas and my grandson. I hope so!!!

Sorry I rambled on but feeling a bit sentimental. I just love the time I have with my parents!

Evening all, great news! We finally got our appointment with the specialist for my youngest. It will be next Tuesday and I am so anxious. Please keep my little Isaac in your prayers. Thank you so much :)

I hope you are all having a good Thursday. Hey, did you see that Chuck Berry will receive the Polar Music Award in Sweden. He is such an icon, he deserves it!

So glad to hear you've received the appointment. I'll keep Issac, as well as you and Mr. Festive in my prayers. Hoping you guys get some answers.

Festive Spirit, I will be praying for Isaac! Keep us posted.

What an honor for Chuck Berry! We have seen him in concert when he was in his early 70's at the Southfork Ranch (the ranch they film the show Dallas at). He was still Rockin n Rollin!!! Good concert!

LOL!!!!! You have been better about it lately. I'll give you some credit.

Yikes!!!! Like you said though, it's better to find it now before it got any worse!!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I spent the day at doctors's appointments in the morning and early afternoon. I had one shot right in the bed of my fingernail and FIVE shots in my upper back shoulder blade. Today is the first day of feeling even halfway human after all those shots! After all that, there is not all that much relief! Go figure! But my birthday dinner was wonderful! Work is progressing on the house. For my son's "wages," we were going to pay his monthly rent, but we decided to give him our trailer instead. He was deliriously happy since he can now divide his time between his two seasonal jobs and not have to worry about a place to live. We also have bought his groceries and will supply him with groceries just before he leaves. TTYL

You remain in my prayers, Seawaters! {{{HUGS}}}

What a thoughtful "wage" for your son!

Have a java mid west kinda day ... Yabba!!

I have been . . . YABBA!!

I love this ~ so cheerful!

Good Morning!

I am behind on here. It's been a little stressful for me this week but didn't want to drag you all down. It's all good now so I will share!!!

My dad has been sick since Sunday and had me worried like crazy! First of all he has a mild form of leukemia for 10 years now. It's been in remission but his bloodwork remains permanently off the charts and will never be normal. He is stable but if he gets ill with anything including a simple cold can be serious for him. That is all he has had this week is a cold but has knocked him way down. I would get so upset when I call to check on him and he could barely talk. He is such a cheerful man all the time and this week hasn't sounded that way. He even comes over everyday to use our computer but hasn't came by this week from being so sick. I called him a little bit ago and he sounded great and feeling better. He plans to come over today! I love my dad so much! I hate to see him sick, just like with anyone on here feels about their parents.

It did put a smile on my face when I called one day and my mom said he is watching The Three Stooges! He loves laughter and laughter is the best medicine!

Please pray that he continues getting stronger everyday!

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

My prayers are on the way! {{{HUGS}}}

Oh, my, so glad the problems were discovered while they were still fixable! Life is so much better when optimism rules! Have a MERRY weekend!!
