Christmas Countdown - 2014

Well, my work week concluded yesterday about 8:30 p.m. We hosted the state tourney and we finished about 7:00 last night and then we had to stay and pick up trash. It was an eventful week with the banquets, graduation, and a state tourney that was full of rain. A lot of field work and a lot of time away from home, but we have made about $16,000. It will help some programs at school, so it's all good.

We are taking today off and meeting there tomorrow at 5:30 am. We have two more games to go tomorrow and all done. Tuesday night is another banquet....and then.....

it's all downhill....school will be out for summer before I know it.

Today, rest and time with Bambina. Hopefully, there will be a little sunshine and time outside in our day.

Thank you. I am meeting few more people of our course tomorrow and we are going to check several flower shops to see if they have any flower compositions for the upcoming tribute. We hope to find some nice candles as well.

Thank you! But it was a zoo there. Like trying to grocery-shop on a New York City street. We left and did our shopping at one of our usual markets. We'll try again sometime when the novelty has worn off. It's the first one to open in this area.

Thank you all for the prayers for my Mom, it really means a lot.

I talked to her yesterday, and she got the results back from the MRI. It looks like she has a tear in her meniscal cartilage, and they are recommending an Arthroscopy.

At least she has some answers, even if it's not what she wanted to hear.

Hello everyone once again! It's 1 a.m. here and I am still awake because we had a very nice chat with my friend and one of our flat mates. It was a good way to keep our minds distracted from sad news which reached me and my friend by university e-mail earlier today. The headmaster of the campus e-mailed everyone about the death of one of our course mates. Although we both weren't that close, the news was still very sad and shocking. She seemed to be very happy girl although it also seemed that she was going through some tough times in her personal life and didn't seek for professional help. The e-mail mentioned that her body was found in her apartment on Wednesday. We are going to arrange a tribute to that girl in the campus and I believe that her closest friends will be going to her funeral in Glasgow. I am now looking forward to more details.

I didn't intend to spoil everyone's day with such sad news but I just wanted to say that some people, doesn't matter how happy or optimistic they might appear at the first sight, might be going through so much in their inner life that it's hard for us to imagine. It gives a good lesson to me, and I hope for everyone else, to appreciate everyone around us and, most importantly, don't take anything for granted because life and time we all are given are meant to be valued. We never know what might happen tomorrow (sad but it's true) so I wish everyone not to procrastinate their life.

hi everyone....

been a beautiful day....Kandice had a Field Hockey tournement....they won the first game 5:0 and lost the second game 0:5......of course Kandice cried....but she still had a good time.....after that we went to the Animal Mercy Shelter......an animal Shelter that takes in animals (mostly donkeys, ponys, goats, sheep, chickens, guinea pigs and Lamas) that would otherwise be killed..........they did their annual springfest....so Kandice fed the animals and had a Schnitzel with fries and drank a Capri Sun......she loved it....specially the donkeys....she loves the donkeys

That is a good place you visited today! I'm glad you and Kandice had a good time!
