Nice find!!!

Here's the newest afghan---granny squares! All made with leftovers from other projects.

It's been gray and cloudy much of the day, but now we're getting some sunshine. I'm sitting in the "library," and it's so nice to see the sun, relax, and visit with all of you. We'll probably have a movie evening. Mr. has finished repairs on a comedy (some of the old cement splices were breaking, so he's re-making the splices with splicing tape). We haven't run this one in a while, so it'll be fun to see it again. It may be time to break out the Whirly-Pop and make some popcorn!

Beautiful afghan!!!

Good evening,

One more day until my day off, I am really feeling it tonight. I am sore from head to toe.
Just winding down listening to some Status Quo, everyone else fell asleep a while ago.

I hope you all had a good day.

Good night, everyone.

I hope you sleep well Xmas, goodnight!

Today is the anniversary of my dad's home going. It has been 17 years already, I miss him.
Mom and I are going to the cemetery to clean the headstone and plant some flowers.
This is dad with mom and my 2 girls in the spring of 1987 (LittleCS is the one without the hat)

Praying for you today.

I know I'm getting wordy this morning, but I had to tell y'all:

A couple days ago I told y'all I had to tell a few girls at lunchtime that they couldn't swim in our pool since we're never around. That afternoon, I came home from work and found a mess of duct tape scattered around my deck and in my yard. Also, the new swim goggles that Nancy bought for Elizabeth were gone.

My neighbor said that as soon as I left for work after lunch, she saw those girls climb my railing and jump in the pool. Then the girls found a roll of duct tape that I had left out and they tore it up into little pieces and threw it everywhere.

When I heard that, I looked across the street where the girls live and they were playing in their yard. I drove across the street, and they seemed so surprised when I stopped. They were still wet in their clothes. I said, "You girls went in my pool after I said you couldn't, didn't you?" They both had that deer-in-headlights look, and one of them nodded. I said, "And you made a mess in my yard with the roll of tape and took the new goggles, didn't you?" Same look, same girl nodded.

I told them that I wasn't going to their parents with it this time, but that they were not allowed in our yard again. I really hate doing that, but I can't abide retaliatory children who don't like being told no.

I heard later that day that another neighbor had to run them out of their pool after finding them in there uninvited. They had lied to the man who handles my neighbor's landscaping, saying they had permission.

It sounds like these children's parents need to start doing their job. I don't know them, they are recent renters, but they are never outside and the girls are just running around wild.

If I get many more complaints about these girls, the mayor might have to make a visit. :x

That's crazy! And how old are these girls? Aren't their parents worried they'll drown being in a pool without any adults?

Can I come?! :)

Has anyone volunteered for the countdown tomorrow? I just want to be sure the sanctity of the count is not broken! :)

Hello all. Well, we went o the cowboy festival today and had a great time! We rode in a wagon and the kids loved it. They made some crafts, and I sampled some great chuck wagon cooking! It was at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and a Western a Heritage Museum, I got to see some of John Wayne's guns and clothes actually worn in his movies, and some great art! I was happy. :)

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Sounds like you had a great day!!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend too!!!!!!!

Thank you for all the kind compliments on the afghan. It was done totally at random with the scraps I had left, so I was surprised at how it turned out.

Getting ready for bed. Have a restful night!

Swimming for the Lil Bambina, yard work, BBQ nachos, cleaning cars and garage means I'm one tired dude.

About to go watch a little TV. Tomorrow morning I plan on spending time in my Christmas notebook. It's time to look for some new recipes. Any sites that y'all suggest?
