Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good evening everyone! Such a nice evening here. My room window is wide open to let lots of fresh air in. ^^ Now, when I am done with my friend's university project, I am working on my cousin's school work. I wouldn't do that for her if she wasn't desperately stuck in her hectic life - lots of curriculum, private tutors and exams. The only little thing I can do for her is to write her a 6 minute-long speech about British afternoon tea for her English class. ^^

Hello my Christmas Friends!

At work yesterday I told my co-workers, "7 more months until Christmas"! One of my co-workers said, "Oh gosh"! He is REALLY nice so he said it in a cheerful tone of voice then started laughing. He knows how I feel about Christmas but he still don't get all the fuss about it so early. A young guy that has not been there that long just didn't catch on and said, "Oh, is that when you see Paul McCartney"? I had to tell him not the concert but Christmas will be here. He seemed confused that something was going on in 7 months. I told him, "really, Christmas is in 7 months"! I guess he never met anyone start counting down this early. Someone also said, "who's counting down for that"? I said, "I am"!!! They think I'm crazy. Yes I am and proud of it!!!

I have one of the guys at work ask me every once in awhile how many days till Christmas.
There is another cashier who celebrates Christmas with her family in July because they all live far apart and it is safer for them all to travel in the summer to get together.
The rest just think I am crazy! I cannot imagine why!

A little summary of our weekend. Saturday Wayne and I took the bikes to the lake and enjoyed a nice ride. We came home and cooked out on the grill then got totally lazy watching TV on the History Channel. They had on 6 straight hours of documentaries about World War II. It was really interesting. We were also playing our word game with each other on the phones between commercials - Words with Friends. All the while watching the birds and hummingbirds at the bird feeder out our back window. Then by the end of the day I realized how much work we needed to do around the house. We were really exhausted because we didn't sleep well the night before and I just wasn't feeling that great by the time we got done with everything early. I thought the bike ride would rev up our energy but after we cooked out and ate we were both beat. So we ended up running from 5 am up until around noon and then got lazy! No regrets! We had a nice day!

Sunday, back to work as usual. We were so busy!!! Today we are closed but I have to go in and feed the critters. Today will be a catch up day around the house then I need to start working on a video that I plan to make for my mom and aunt of them growing up. I have still pictures and home movies to work with. Both of their birthdays are this summer so that will be there gift. I meant to work on this last year but it never happened.

sometime having a lazy day is more important than getting things done !

That is so nice of you. I often dreamed of having someone to do my school work for me, only I was to afraid of the principal to look for one! LOL

I was afraid it was going to be too hot today but some clouds rolled in and it was just perfect. I read through the posts quick but I don't have time to respond. hi folks....can I ask for some prayers for Kandice again? Poor girl has caught a summer flu.....probably got it from me........and I am still not totally over it.....lost my voice last week....lol....at least the terrible cough seems to be gone.....but Kandice hasn´t slept at all last night....coughing....headache, sinus infection.....she doesn´t have a fever....if she gets one....I gotta take her to the pediatrition immediately....cos then it is most likely a bronchitis...so far it´s just a flulike infection

She is in my thoughts.

I am enjoying just listening to some music, after sitting outside and talking to neighbors, listening to kids laugh, moms yell and dogs baking.

One little girl, she looked to be about 5 years old, came around the corner stopped, threw up her arms and loudly proclaimed
"look at all the flowers, trees full of of flowers !!"
We should all have that kind of wonder when we see the beauty around us !

The whole neighborhood is coming into bloom now and it does look amazing. I will take a picture in the morning when the sun is on it.

Sounds like a beautiful spring day!!!
