Christmas Countdown - 2014

Whats new?!!? WELL, I Got accepted into University for September for the Health Care assistant Program (Registered care aide, long term care aide.. the list goes on and on!) ! After much consideration of what I should do with my life... I finally applied in February To Vancouver Island University...and had to write up a "Personal Profile" on why I should be chosen for the program etc, then was invited to an Interview with one of the program instructors, where I had to fill out a questionnaire about what made me interested in that program and field of work, and also gave various situations that I could potentially come across in the health field and how I would deal with them. Then about 3 weeks later I got my acceptance letter Was terribly nervous during the interview and thought I spoke too fast and was jittery but apparently I did alright!!!

I am hoping to Work within Vancouver Island Health Authorities after graduation, in the hospital (VIHA is a HUGE organization that deals with various types of health field stuff, from Health inspectors-Care facilities..etc, If you're in the Health field in British Columbia, it's good to get on with them because they offer benefits, higher pay, etc etc)! Also considering getting a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within the next couple years.. Who knew I'd be into nursing! haha!!!



Other than that, I honestly don't have too much new with myself. OH wait, next week I am chopping all my hair off, have had hair down to my lower back for at least 6 years now, time for a change.. Also thinking of dying my hair a Dark, wine red...Versus the Jet black I have (...yes I am dreading the "stripping" process, WHY oh WHY did I have to go black)



My Dearest Love, Ryan, is doing swell also! Still on the job hunt.. Hoping he finds work soon!!! But until then, I enjoy him being my sweet little housewife :lol:

Merry Morning! I hope you all had a great day yesterday. We have one more three day weekend left for the year. It really hit me this morning how far into the year we have gotten!

I was so relieved to hear on the news this morning that Paul McCartney is recovering nicely. Whew!

I'll be entertaining the children today and hopefully I'll get a little work done to. It is raining and cold out. Looks like it will be like this for the rest of the week to

I am all caught up again, sometimes you get so far behind just by missing a few hours. cheesy

We were pretty busy here today, we had a small get together and cookout, sometimes burgers and dogs are just what the doctor ordered.

Watching the Griswold clan in "Vacation" before heading to bed, I just can't seem to get caught up on my sleep lately.

Inventory day tomorrow, so working late.

Good morning!
I am exhausted today, I was up most of the night with Molly. I'm not sure what was wrong with her. She was panting throughout the night, she kept getting up for water and to go outside. The room wasn't hot, we had the air conditioner running and I also had a little fan blowing on her. She's due for a vet appointment so I'm going to call when they open and see if I can get her in today. Other than that it will be a typical day for me. I need to work on some chores and catch up with the laundry, I didn't get much done yesterday since I had the barbecue. I also need to run to the supermarket, I have a list of things that we need. I am so sick of that place, lol. If I'm lucky I would like to squeeze a nap in but I'm not sure if that will happen.

Congratulations that is so exciting !
I have worked for years as a long term care aide, started before a certificate was required. I loved the work, did most of it in nursing homes. I love working with the elderly.

60's (15C) is warm for us. We get the odd few days where it might reach 80 (20C)and that is considered a heat wave here ! LOL! (Hope my conversion is right)

Glad you all had a good BBQ yesterday! Hope you can catch up on some rest , sounds like you need it! Praying for Maggie, poor girl. I hope you can see the vet today. I wonder what is wrong , I am sure you are worried.

Instead, I'll consider the weather.
Again, we had moderate temps and no rain for our coastal visit.
Got most of the work completed for the rental season but will take one more trip back a week from Friday.
For now, we are at 69 degrees here in central NC with a pretty fair chance at some rain today and for the following two.

I didn't sleep as long as I wanted, I think part of it is I haven't had back to back days off in two months. I am really starting to feel it now.
