Good morning!
It's going to be mostly sunny today with a high of 65 degrees.
Today I will just be trying to catch up with some things around here and get back on track. I can't believe how far behind I fall when I'm not here for one day. I have a ton of chores to do and I also need to go food shopping, there is nothing in the house. I also need to go shopping for my father, I still didn't get him a birthday gift. I'm dragging my feet but I really have to get moving. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hope you can get caught up today, friend. Thinking of you Glad you are feeling better today!

xx

Can you believe that there is only 21 more days left until summer solstice, which then means, the days will start to get shorter and shorter. We will then be over the hump folks, on our downward slide to the "most, wonderful day of the year....."

Awesome!!!

I tried to take a picture of the New York City skyline as we were going over the bridge yesterday, this was the best I could get with my cell phone.

My great grandma is not doing well and they called the family to be with her yesterday. She is 94 and has lived a great life. She has her family by her, her Bible beside her bed like she always has, and her framed hymn sheet music on the wall.
She woke up long enough yesterday to tell us she's "going home." We will miss her but are excited for her, if that makes any sense. She's been talking about Heaven for a while now and I think it's just her time to go.
My dad is happy for her but I know sad as it's his grandma. Plus with his own cancer battle I think he is down, so prayers are appreciated.

Have a great weekend!

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

My prayers are with you all

Good afternoon!
My little Isak is turning 6 years old tomorrow
so we are celebrating with my MIL and BIL (and his family) today.
And with my (BIG) family tomorrow!

They should have been here half hour ago.. :/
(They are alwyas late! Well, it gives me time to sit here)

I've been busy cleaning the house, baking + + the last days
And have a lot to do before the guest arrives tomorrow also.
Im exhausted!
But Thomas came home now, after four days away.
So I will do like Nancy (Bradmac's) and command him around!cheesy

Have a great day everybody!!
Happy birthday to Isak! Sounds like he will be celebrating in style!!

We had a family member who was always late so we started telling them the events were and hour before they actually were planned. It worked great! No more waiting for them to show up, they would walk in just when we actually wanted to start.

Don't work to hard, no one notices the house, they come for the company!

Gooooooooood Morning my dear friends..... It's a glorious morning here this morning, the sun is shining, the birds are signing, the coffee is hot and I'm sitting here watching Miracle on 34th Street. Now, isn't that a nice way to start your day....

I am still playing Tim the tool man today, (note: I did take the tool belt for a little bit, while I went to bed), however, it's going right back on, when the Love of my life awakes later this morning....I don't want to disturb her after she worked a double last night.

I totally took down the 2 bay garage in the basement (studs, os&b, drywall and I de-wiring the electrical components down there as well) and had the garage bay doors taken down and enclosed with block and finished with stone on the outside. It's fun-fun. I cut up all the os&b into 3 sections and today I am going to carry them up from the basement, along with all the 2x4's, and put them in the attic, to make a floor and shelves for storage. This, is the kind of stuff that I really like to do.:-D

Well, I think it's time for some breakfast, I'm in the mood for a bagel with peanut butter and bananas, and another cup of Joe....

sounds like you are having a smashing good time!

Merry morning! Have a wonderful weekend my dear friends. Family day today and work tomorrow for me.

xxxxxx

Enjoy the time with your family today, Festive!!!!!

What did you do xmas, hurt your foot?

That's' ironic, last night, I stepped on a board and had a nail run up thru the bottom of my work boot and about a quarter-inch up and into the sole of my foot. Oh boy, was that smart. I was hobbling around like someone had just given me a hot foot... I had to go upstairs and take the bloody sock off and bandage it. I had a tetanus shot a couple of years ago, so I should be ok, but I'm telling you, my foot's a hurting this morning...Ahhhh, I'm a big boy, slap a band-aid on it, give me a lollypop and I'm good to go....

Ouch!!!!!! Hope it heals up soon!!!!

Of course we remember you! It's a treat when you visit.
I love the avatar with the plaid ornaments!

Well mom's blood level hadn't really changed since the last time we where there a week and a half ago. So the doctor today left her on the same dose of blood thinner and said he would let her normal doc make the decision as to whether she thought it she be lowered or not since she is right at the highest number they want her to be at.

I've got all of my other running done too. So now I can just kick back and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

lol. Yea, I just got done carrying all that stuff (with the help of the wife) upstairs; 3 flights of stairs, to put all of that lumber in the attic. I'm going to put in a raised floor up there and shelves, to use the space for storage.

Whewwww.... I'm a getting in a good work-out today!!!!!

Yipe!! I saw that happen in a Laurel & Hardy comedy, but in real life it's no joke! Be careful there!

That's a cheerful thought---but I'm still waiting for summer to begin here! May was like April, and April was more like March.

That puts me in the mood for "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York"!

Still hopeful for some warm, sunny weather---I ordered a folding portable picnic table that I saw on sale, so we can go out and have picnics and enjoy the backyard IF the right weather ever gets here. (Mr. pointed out that it would make a great gift-wrapping table, too!) :gift:

Hey there Ryan, I can truly understand how your dad and yourself are feeling. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family; god bless your grandmom~

My grandfather is 95 and will be 96 (god willing) in September. As a lot of you know, I bought a house at the end of December, and I have been non-stop of renovating it. For my plans are to sell his house and have him move into our home. I have been in demo mode, for the past month and am getting ready to start the next phase of construction by building him an apartment out of my whole basement. I'm going to put in a stair lift and ada bathroom as well.

I really enjoy being around my grandfather, and he his a big important part of my life. In a lot of ways, he's my best friend, besides my grandfather...
His mom and dad lived to be in their 90's, his grandfather, 100 and he still has two siblings that he still see's; ones 93 and the other 91....I hope and pray that I have some of those genes inside of me.....

LOL!!!! I sure will Merry. Guess what I just did (about a half hour ago, big dummy), I just walked smack dab into a 2x12 with my head... You ought to see the goose egg on my noggin. Yup, it's bleeding as well. Had to get the wife to play nurse and fix me up... She said I'm a mess..I'm starting to look like I've been in a battle, lol...But, I'm a having fun~
