Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
We are going to have showers today with temperatures in the upper 60's.
Not too much going on here, typical day of chores and errands.
Yesterday afternoon my daughter was going to take a ride to the get gas, when she got in her car she saw a huge spider on the dashboard. She picked up a cd and threw it at the spider but of course she didn't kill it, she said it fell to the floor. She ran in the house freaking out and scared the daylights out of me. I went out and tried to find the darn thing but didn't see anything. I vacuumed the whole car, including under the seats. I just sprayed some indoor bug spray in the car, I don't know what else to do. Her friend gave her a ride to school today, she's refusing to get in her car. lol
Well I have to take the birds out for a little while. Skittles was scaring me yesterday, his behavior was a bit aggressive. I hope he's in a better mood today!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've been so busy getting Bellville ready for Saturday, it's crazy! I worked till 10pm last night, then I jumped in the pool. That was refreshing, ahhh.

Now I have to write my welcoming speech and get ready to play in the band...finally!!! It's been far too long.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high right around 80 degree's and no rain. We finally just got home from mom's doctor's appointment. She was supposed to be seen at 7:45 but when we got there, they told us that the doctor she was supposed to see had called in sick. So we had to sit there and wait until another doctor could finally see her. That didn't happen until almost 9:30!! Plus there public wifi was down!! Talk about a long boring wait!!!! They finally confirmed what I think we all knew though. Her blood level had spiked and her blood was to thin. Causing her to have some bleeding issues. They told her not to take it last night when she called yesterday and then are having her skip it again tonight. Then we go back in tomorrow morning to have checked again to see if it's back in the safe zone. It's always something. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awe made - How frustrating! 1st of all, the wait & then the blood thinner issue - I hope they can get it figured out quick for your Mom! Hopefully you have better luck tomorrow morning!

Hope your Mom is ok and they can get her blood thinner regulated. My Mom was on coumadin for years and her levels were always up and down.

It is only going to be 63 here in CT today and rainy but will warm up for the weekend.

Our cat, Lily snuck out yesterday and we have not seen her yet I am hoping she comes home soon. We went out looking last night and I let my neighbors know so hopefully she will find her way home.

The Crowns return to the coast tomorrow afternoon to complete preparation work on the cottage to be ready for our first Summer renters scheduled to arrive June 15th.
As such, a substitute Countdown Volunteer will be needed for this coming Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Takers? (Fame and Fortune could be yours, you know.)
Well, maybe just Fame.
Or.....maybe just.....work.

Thanks Festive! You are exactly right! Yesterday at lunch when I slowly opened the door to the house, making sure I didn’t hit him with the door b/c he lays in front of it. Then crawling in bed, making sure not to step on him b/c he’s laying on the floor by the bed. Turning off the light in the utility room where his food is – we always left it on for him. All these crazy little things you never even realized you did! But today is much better. We’ll miss him like crazy, but it was for the best for him.

Good morning MMC! It was foggy & cool this morning! It's currently dreary, but looking like the sun MIGHT try to sneak out soon!



We went out for Mexican last night. Ran into my sister/bil there. I think every time we go there, we see them! :lol: Then we went to the Eagles so hubby could do his weekly sign in & then we met our friends at the Legion to sign in for the Wed night drawing. It was nice to get out & socialize. Helped a bunch! Today is much better. Still having a moment here & there but it's looking much brighter than yesterday! :smile:

Good evening!
I send my boys away for the long weekend this afternoon.
(Thursday to Monday) with their father
They are going fishing deep in the swedish woods...

I had trouble sleeping the last nights because I'm so worried..
There is so many BEARS there.. Yes, bears!
And they are sleeping in tents...
Im thinking: What are they going to defend them self with?
Fish knifes? :wink:

They are also paddling in canoes
(that also a worry even though they have lifewests on...)

I know they are going to have so much fun, making mamories for life
Wish I could let go of this worries....

I bought my daughter a hot pink fly swatter to keep next to her when she drives, lol. She texted me from school and asked me to go put gas in her car. Now I'm nervous and I don't want to go in there. She made it sound like the darn thing is a tarantula!
