I didn't make the decision on that, yet, it is insurance and that scares me a little. I may be forced to make a decision into that business with the way things are going. The worst thing is, the only one in the place who is giving me trouble is my direct supervisor, he got hired 8 months ago and refers to himself as "the new sheriff in town" he has fired a lot of people and it seems he has set his sights on me next. I've been there 13.5 years and never been written up and all my reviews have been good to exceeds, since he has been there he has tried writing me up 4 times, feeds me lies, patronizes the work I do. I have been to his supervisor about it in the past, and that seems to have worn off.
Sorry for rambling, I am so frustrated to the point of just wanting to quit.

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's just plain going to be hit today. We should see temps in the low 90's and heat indexes close to 100. So needless to say, I'll be hanging out inside today. I think my main goal for today is to get all of my tools organized. They are all over the apartment right now in different drawers and cabinets. I want to get them all to one place. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good morning,

Trying to post quickly, I see I haven't been the only one having issues. I finally caught up with the posts since Sunday night.
We had a heck of a storm blow through here around 230am last night, our backyard is in a shambles, the noises outside woke us all up, and I wasn't able to fall back to sleep until after 4. Sleep has been hard to come by the last few nights, even though I've been getting to bed earlier with no MMC. Work has sunk to a new low, I am so close to just giving my notice at this point, it is bothering me to the point I can't sleep without the storm going on.
I have to work tonight, if I can't get back on here, I hope you all have a good day.

I can relate to getting too little sleep, I know it's tough.

Weren't you being courted by another company? It sounds like you might need to consider their offer more closely! Good luck!

ETA: I see I should have read forward before posting, you've already answered that. I know it's tough. I've endured antagonizing supervisors in the past, hanging on for family insurance & retirement. It's like they know you'll put up with a lot to keep the benefits, so they don't mind making your life miserable. Best wishes, my friend!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'll post quickly, before we go down again.

Night before last I got a call from the previous mayor who lives on the other side of town...at 1:30AM. He said he thought I should know that the police had surrounded a house in town near his house. They were looking for a guy who had argued with his wife (girlfriend?), and I guess it escalated to the point that she called 911. Anyway, while I am the mayor, I'm not a peace officer, so there was little I can do unless things really get out of hand and the local residents are in danger. That didn't happen, of course, and I lost a few hours sleep.

Then, yesterday evening, while I was at Vacation Bible School, I was called back to work to help the late shift with a problem. I had to leave VBS; I can't leave 30 guys with no way to work. After that, I floated in the pool for 1.5 hours!

Last night, Lulu started crying at 4:00AM with an upset tummy, so I had to take her out for almost a half hour. When I came back in, I found that there was no water pressure. So I had to drive to the city's well on my side of town and reset the power system, then wait to make sure the pressure was increasing. Otherwise, I'd be getting more early-morning calls for water.

Now I'm beat, and my eyes are burning from lack of sleep. And I have to go to Joey's wife's funeral in a couple hours.

Also, this afternoon is the last day of our Vacation Bible School, so I need to get a Powerpoint presentation together with pictures from the week, and some music.

And that's everything I can think of to complain about today. :wink:

On the bright side, I thank the Lord for my family, and all the other gifts he's bestowed upon me that I surely don't deserve.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!
Everyone here in the office went to visit Joey and his kids yesterday afternoon, and we took a bunch of food. It’s going to be hard on them, but he’s a strong guy.

After work yesterday, we had our first day of Vacation Bible School at church. On top of being the official photographer, I’m also Nancy’s monkey-boy. She’s in charge of outdoor activities, so I’m in charge of shoveling 500 pounds of sand into a swimming pool, and filling water balloons…then being attacked with them by a bunch of pre-schoolers. LOL

After VBS, Nancy’s sister asked us to come to an unveiling party for an oil painting she’s been working on for months. Harriett is a very talented artist, so I’m used to seeing good work from her, but I was surprised by this one. It was Elizabeth dancing in the snow scene of last year’s Nutcracker Ballet! It’s beautiful! As soon as I can get a good picture of it, I’ll post it. Elizabeth was so surprised and emotional.

And it’s HUGE. It barely fit in the back of Nancy’s Tahoe with both rear seats laying down. That one is going over the mantle!

gave up trying to get back on here last night, happy to see things are up and running again this morning.

The storm here was not nearly as bad as predicted. We got lots of strong gusty winds and some rain. There was a small tornado in Angus Ontario, did some damage to one street there and that was the worst of it. This was from the same system that started in Nebraska.

Day off but am going to be plenty busy. I have a wedding cake this weekend, this is a very simple one so will not be a lot of work. Also want to get some cleaning done around here. Sister and hubby will be in town to pick up mom on Saturday so hoping we can go out for dinner or something.

been in similar situation, it is rough.
Right now there is a woman at work that feels it is her sworn duty to report everything about everyone. She wrote me up for asking who was looking after break rotation that day. Who knew asking that question was a felony!

I suggest you keep a detailed log of everything, time, comments made etc. Keep any written notes, emails text messages from and to him. It is easier to present your case when you have hard evidence rather than just he said/she said.

I know Made shared with you that my great-grandma passed away. I feel do blessed to have known her as I know many folks do not even get to know their grandparents! She used to keep me after school and I'll always cherish those memories. She was a sweet lady. She was excited about Heaven and bring able to walk again so I'm excited for her.

Other than that there's work and taking my dad to an appointment this afternoon. Have a great day!

I was getting ready to reply to a bunch of posts when the site went down. Yay to being back!

Nary a storm has formed here and it is cooling off quite nice. If a storm is going to happen I will probably sleep through it ~ was up until almost 4 am and had to be ready to go by 9:30 today so I am starting to drag a bit. It seems like it should be Thursday ~ that is how long this day has been. I finished making Kimchi today ~ boy is it ever spicy. It is loaded with garlic, ginger and garlic chili paste. Good, though! Still a lot to do so I had best get going.
