Good Morning my dear friends! It's a beautiful Friday morning, I was up and at it at 4:45 this morning. Today is my day to but 2 dozen doughnuts for the doughnut club here at the office; yea I know like I need it....:lol:

I am not into work again until Tuesday, so really hoping I get called in for some extra hours.

At least we were cooled a bit yesterday evening by a brief shower, and possible severe thunderstorms did not develop (at least not over us).
More of the same today, with perhaps a slight drop in the high temp reading.
We have commenced this Wonderous Weekend Eve morning at 71 degrees.

Oh boy, tomorrow is Summer Solstice, which means it is the longest calendar day (daylight) of the year for the Northern Hemisphere.... Starting this Sunday, the daylight starts heading back in the opposite direction and the days will start to slowly get shorter and shorter....

I'm hoping for a nice day here at the office, get out of here at a decent time and head home. Victoria, is having some friends coming over tonight to spend the night tonight. This weekend, I will spend some time with my grandfather, go to the landfill, call my cousin in California and talk with him a bit, (I just found out that his dad passed away very unexpectedly at age 62), cut grass, do some odds and ends and then on Sunday, my father-in-law and I will be re-wring my main electrical panel in the basement and also install a new 100 amp sub-panel; it's good to have a master electrician as your father-in law!

The weather is supposed to be beautiful all weekend here, sunny and cool with highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's....Perfect weather to get stuff done on the outside....Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend this weekend! Yea, we are at the half way point of the year........:!!

Good Morning!!!

I have had a time getting on here but it seems we all have.

Early this week my mom, the grandkids and I became members of the Perot Museum. WOW! That place is AMAZING! We were members of that museum when it was at Fair Park (different name) they closed it down, moved it to Downtown Dallas, made it a lot bigger and changed the name. The lady that use to work the ticket area at the old museum is working at this one. We haven't seen her in a couple of years and she was so shocked how much the kids have grown. We were at the museum for 3 hours and did not even see half of it. According to the map there are 6 floors, we only explored parts of 3 of them. I am glad we joined so we can go as often as we want so we can take our time looking at it all. I saw license plates from all over the USA in the parking lot, Pennsylvania and California were right by us. If you are ever in Dallas I recommend visiting it!

Last night Snow-in-Texas and I took our daughter and grandkids to see a Beatles tribute band at the Arboretum called, A Hard Nights Day. They were really good and we had a fantastic time! Since I have to watch them this morning while their parents work we went ahead and brought them home with us to spend the night - they are still asleep!

I have to run but hope I can get back on here later and try to catch up!

Good morning MMC!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny and warm.
I am dragging my feet this morning but I need to get moving. I have lots of chores to do and my daughter also has a routine doctor appointment in a little while. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week as well. My husband finished putting all of the handles and knobs on the kitchen cabinets last night so I think I may start putting some stuff back in to the new cabinets. My dining room is completely filled with kitchen stuff, I can't wait to get everything out of there!

Hope your daughter's doctors appointment goes well and that you can reclaim your dining room!!!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit cooler with a high of 86 but the humidity is still supposed to be unbearable. Most of my day is going to be spent helping my neighbor and waiting on my sister to call and say they made it into Seattle okay. They made it into Phoenix a little bit ago and my sister said my niece's were being pretty good. So that's a positive. Hopefully they are just as good for the second half of the flight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Gracie had a blast last night. Our 2 neighbor girls (18 & 16) took Gracie & Lexi (her best golden doodle pup friend) for a walk to the park/pond. ALL of them got a work out! It was too cute!

Yum!!!! I want some Cinnamon rolls too!!!!!!! Can you drop me off a batch on your way to Snowflakes? Or better yet, Just drop her batch off with me and I promise to deliver them to her!!!!!!


Our cable went out last night and then we had a storm come through about 2 hours ago and knock out power. It just now came back on.

I am so sorry I didn't make it with cinnamon rolls. The neighbors got a whiff & they were GONE!! :lol:
Hopefully storms aren't too bad today!!

Talk about a nasty storm!!! We had one hit us about 2 o'clock that just decided to stall out over us and dump the rain for about 45 minutes. The lighting and thunder were pretty bad too. It knocked out our power and apparently even the closest cell tower went down because I lost all signal on it. So I ended up not helping my neighbor because we needed lights to see what we were doing. I got a nice hour long nap in though after it stopped raining while waiting on the power to come back on.

Good afternoon, MMC!

Low humidity and low 70s means chilly day here in MI ~ love it! My gardens have sprung up nicely as have all the grass and weeds everywhere else. Looks like a lot of yard work this weekend. I was mistaken on the number of kittens that Lucy had. The number now stands at two black/chocolate tabbies and one grey tabby. They are adorable! She brought them up to the porch so that I will feed them.

Chores beckon so I will try to post again tomorrow.

Just got back from the doc's, received a clean bill of health. He said my blood pressure is the best he's seen in me for over 15 years; 120 over 78...It's the new house and all the fresh country air~
