Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! I have missed the heck out of this place and each and every one of you guys!!! I am well more than half way through on this deployment and will be home around the time the first leaves start changing in Utah!!! My wife is about to go back to teaching the first of August so my MIL is coming late July until I get back home mid sept. I missthem sooo much but I was able to Skype and boy have they grown,,,,it brings a tear to my eyes. I just wanted to drop in really quick and tell yall hello. btw summer solstice is over with which means the days are slowly but surely starting to get shorter again which in turn begins the process of the leaves getting ready to start changing by late sept.(depending of course where you live) Love you guys and will talk to you all soon...I hope you are all okay and doing great!!!!

I've been having problems logging on here all morning. Just wanted to pop in quick and say hello. Today is prom! We'll be heading out soon to the salon for my daughters hair and makeup appointments. It's hot and humid but thank God it's not raining! I'll be busy all afternoon so I'll try and catch up here this evening.

Hope you are doing incredibly well!!! I miss this place so much! Everything business wise has been insanely busy. Once summer vacation hit for my nieces and nephews, they all ended up here at our house and have been here about 90% of the time since May.

The company Bud was contracted with for his tour cut him short early. It was spiteful and yes we severed ties with them. Citing Forest Gump: That's all I have to say about that.

I'm sipping my coffee from my favorite Santa mug and so excited that it's not much further to go. LOL Well, in my head anyway.

Pray you are all so well and blessed!! And I'm looking forwars to going through the posts to catch up.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!!! It's going to be hot here again today but then again it is summer. The good news is that the humidity is supposed to be a lot lower today. WooHoo!!!!!!!!! We had tree trimmers here in the apartments yesterday and they are back at it this morning. In fact, they have set up the chipper right behind my apartment. Talk about giving you a headache!!!!! I think I need a pair of the ear muffs they are wearing. Other than that, I just need to do my normal daily chores and some laundry. Then tonight, I think I'm going to go to the fair for dinner and to walk around. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning! I'm was up and about very early this morning (3am). I have to be in Washington DC this morning to kick off a new project with the ATF... So, I've been here at the office since 4:15 - fun, fun, fun. I'm filling up this morning with my breakfast of champs (old fashioned whole oats, dried mangos, cranberries and a peanut butter Nature Valley granola bar, all in one bowl...)~

I have an appointment this evening with that real-estate agent about my house. The guy, that wants to buy it back, sent me a registered letter as well yesterday and he upped his offer another 50,000 dollars....Ok, now I'm starting to get very weird-ed out about all of this, I mean, why does he want it back so badly? He writes in the letter, "....money is no longer everything to me and I will pay whatever it takes to get the house back...."!

My family and friends are starting to wonder if there is something buried on the property that he wants to make sure no one discovers...or this guy is certified nuts or maffia.... I think maybe it's time for me to get out of Dodge...

"I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse....."



This just keeps getting crazier and crazier as the week is going along....Will keep you posted~

Why do we always think it is something bad or terrible? I did the same thing when I first read of this offer. But you know, it just might be just as he says, a deep desire to go back to cherished memories.

I suspect it is Made and Snowflakes fault, they have taken over the forum, maybe we should get a special buddy section just for them!! LOL
Hope the prom is a fun one and you get everything done for it.

Not much going on today! Trying to get ahead at work so I can be off tomorrow & next week. Woo Hoo!

Dad didn't do so well on his swallow test today. He's swallowing liquids ok, but solids don't go down until he drinks liquid after them. They are recommending he grinds up his food for a month & they will give him exercises to do. I'm sure he is not thrilled about this! They will do another swallow test in a month. As long as his blood level stays up, they will send him home tomorrow!

As for me - I have a lot of work to do yet to get ready for the festival this weekend! We had some friends over last night for a pre-party. After work I'm going to the hospital. Tonight our neighbors are having another pre-party. (any reason for a party...haha) ~ tomorrow morning we have to meet with our cabinet maker to finalize kitchen plans - and hopefully Dad comes home tomorrow. Festival starts tomorrow night. Not sure when I'll get my cleaning done & a breakfast casserole made. Ohhhh well!

We have a whole line of tree's right behind my apartment building blocking out the spetic system for the apartment complex. They are trimming then and cutting a few down that are dying.

Yesterday they were trimming the trees around the rest of the buildings.
