We got a brief respite from all the heat and humidity yesterday and I was motivated to mow the lawn. No rain all day for the 2nd day in a row.
Can we make it three? (The weather service says so.)
Right now, we are at 68 degrees here in North Carolina's capital city.

Happy monday morning mmc!!! Just had to come share my good news with you all, its not big news really but it is to me!
Ive got a new job!! I currently work part time 3pm-6.30pm, I go out to work as my partner comes in from work! but my youngest daughter starts full time school in september so I applied for a school cook position and got the job!! Its perfect for us! 8.30am-2pm! term time only, so no childcare to think about and its a raise in pay!! Ill be working less weeks in the year but earning more! also a bit of responsibility as Ill be in charge of the small team of assistants!
Also seeing the countdown say 177 days to christmas made me smile even more!!!
Hope this finds everyone well! Im going to go have a good read round the forums!!

A hot one today! 28c (82f) but with humidity will be 37c (99f) ! I am going to be in hugging the ac today.
Came home from camp yesterday afternoon. Got things packed up and in van just before the rain started. Now to get it all out of the van and put away.
Canada Day tomorrow, but with a series of thunderstorms due to pass through not sure how the day will play out.
We plan to watch the parade and enjoy the fireworks. Most everything is closed so we can have a big Canada wide party.

It's going to be mostly sunny today with temperatures in the upper 70's.
Not too much going on here. My daughter has a dentist appointment this morning. They found a cavity during her last cleaning appointment, it's not bothering her but it has to be filled. After that I'll be working on some chores around the house. That's about it, I'm exhausted from prom/graduation so I plan on taking it easy this afternoon.
