Christmas Countdown - 2014

We have Lulu with us on this trip, and we couldn't leave her at home here in Maggie Valley while we went to Dollywood, so we took her with us. They don't allow dogs in the park, but they have a very nice kennel they call "Doggywood" LOL. It was very nice, cool & clean, and the ladies who were running it were very nice, and bragged & bragged on wanting to take Lulu home with them.

Still, poor Lu didn't enjoy herself. I went back to visit her, and to take her for walks, but she was so sad when I had to leave. She was obviously happy when I picked her up to go back home. This morning, she has followed me step-for-step.

We'll have to take to the nearby dog bakery today for a treat. cheesy

Oh, poor girl! I mean, it sounds like you made sure she was treated well
But sometimes they only want to be with us! She won't let you out of her sight, now =} What a sweet girl. Please give her a hug for me!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit cooler today with a high of 84 and not quite as humid. I've already got most of my stuff down around the apartment this morning so now I'm going to spend some time looking for a few new recipes to make for the 4th. I think I'll listen to some Christmas music while I search. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning! I've finally sorted out the accommodation issue in Glasgow during the Games. It's almost impossible to find a private property to rent for short period as three weeks. I got lucky that my friend helped me to find a girl who is willing to rent me her room. Such a relief!

Arranged to meet with my friend later today and waiting for delivery man to come with my parcel. I hope he will be here by late afternoon.

And Carl is well aware of that fact.
(But more on that later.)

First, we have this:

Days to Christmas Day: 176

Getting mighty close to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone, the 2/3 point to Christmas Season 2014.
Just 12 days off, in fact.
(Boy! Milestones come and go so quickly around here!)


HHH weather is back in droves. Sure makes you glad air conditioning was invented. No real change in the foreseeable forecast although we are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Arthur off the Florida coast and predicted to come this way by Friday.
Currently, we have 76 degrees here.

Carl and crew have readied a slam-bang pre-Fourth of July extravaganza at the 'Pines for this evening.
Goes without saying there will be red, white and blue frosted fired twinkies, flags and buntings everywhere, John Phillip Sousa music flowing from every speaker and inspirational readings by..........well, you know who by.
And I understand he will be dressed "patriotically" as "Uncle Sam Camel".
Well.......
Anyway, it's no doubt worth a look.

Good morning!
It's going to be another hot and humid day with a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
I have a few errands to run, I'm heading out to Target and the supermarket for a few things. I also have to go to the jewelers, we gave my daughter a ring for her graduation and it had to be sized. She can't wait to pick it up so she can wear it. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house.

Ahhhhhhh, It's Wednesday, today is my last work day for the week. I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow, so I can have a real 4 day weekend... Not going to do much for the 4th, just do some grilling and chilling~

Sunday night, I bought the DVD "Frozen", I absolutely just loved it!!!! If you guys get the chance, watch it, it always feels good to see snow, Ice and reindeers in the middle of summer, makes me feel like the Christmas time of the year.

Good Wednesday...it is Wednesday, right?...morning, my Christmas friends!

We're in the mountains this week, and we've been running around like crazy. I hope we can actually have time to relax during our vacation, but Nancy is determined to make memories while the kids are still young enough to like being with us LOL.

We spent the day at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN yesterday, and I think we're whitewater rafting today. Whew.

I was able to sneak out to a local coffee shop for the nectar of life this morning, and to get wifi so I could post here!
