Looks like it's going to be a terrifically hot day around here today. The weather channel just issued a Heat advisory for this area:

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...AROUND 105 DEGREES WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S...AND DEWPOINTS IN THE LOW TO MID 70S.

Good day to be either in the AC or in the pool!!!!

Thanks! I was thinking about doing some weeding of the flower beds outside when I got home this afternoon, now I'm starting to re-think that idea.... More like a trip to get a snowball might be in-store for tonight instead.....:yahoo:

Have a great trip! Just got back from there yesterday evening!

Soo-ooo tired from the trip, but today is a full day of laundry, mail, errands, and receipts.

Gloria is doing very well and had a wonderful time! She's 88, but I saw her dunk a french fry in her chocolate shake and eat it like a teenager! We took her out for lunch and ice cream every day. I sure miss her and Hilo.

But July Fourth is on the way!

Carl and crew have readied a slam-bang pre-Fourth of July extravaganza at the 'Pines for this evening.

Goes without saying there will be red, white and blue frosted fired twinkies, flags and buntings everywhere, John Phillip Sousa music flowing from every speaker and inspirational readings by..........well, you know who by.

And I understand he will be dressed "patriotically" as "Uncle Sam Camel".

Well.......

Anyway, it's no doubt worth a look.

Love her! She looks so Halloween-y! Gloria's family had a kitten just like her that they named Frightful. I thought that was a clever name.

Thank you! She is exactly as you say. We say she's 88 going on 14! She knows more about current pop culture than we do! We were already talking about what we might do next year when we visit.
