Friday night-

Finally....Ballcoach is back home.

Left early on the 8th, came back on 11th for about 30 hours or so, pulled out and went to Nashville. Got there on Sunday and now I'm back home for the rest of the summer. No more conferences for me.

This conference was one that I presented at. We received some really good feedback and several of the attendees ask for my email so they could get more information. Nobody got up and left, so it was all good. We actually left early (by design) because we have heard horror stories about people leaving from a conference this big. One of the workers at the Opryland resort told me that 2400 of the 2800 and that 1700 people would be checking in. He said that people would literally be waiting for a couple of hours to get parked cars or to get into their rooms. While I knew it would be hectic, I had no clue it would be that bad.

The best thing happened to me today. I was sitting in one of the meetings and I look out the window and there is a camera crew, several people, and about 10 lifts sitting around. I started looking and there was a tree that had Christmas lights on it and several people had on Santa hats! They were starting to put lights on trees! I asked the same hotel person who told me all of the info about the rooms and he said that they were starting today putting up all the lights. He said they will work around the clock from now until November preparing for Christmas. How cool is it that I got to see that? Guess what? I got pictures to show you. They are coming soon.

Doc wants us to go eat and to go out with Bambina. I don't care what we do, as long as I get to be with that little girl. Y'all have a great night! I will see y'all in a bit!

Friday night 2-

Good evening,

I am on vacation!!!!!! Woohooo!!!!!

We will be heading out around 7am so to bed very soon. Car is I won't be joining in the festivities here too much, the hotel does have wifi so I can pop in a few times during the weekend.

Good Morning, Friends of Weekends, the Holidays and Fellow Milestone Counters.

And yes, Folks, another weekend has arrived, right on time.
(They come and go like ghosts, don't they?)

Days to the Season: 117
Days to Christmas Day: 159

Speaking of ghosts, the following fact is really haunting.
We are now under 2 1/2 weeks off from the 100-day Season Window and the scary start of a double-digit Season count.
(Is it too early to start feeling just a bit uncomfortable about the rapid approach of our Season of choice?)


Another fantastic day here, yesterday. Really great for July.
(In fact it felt more like late April.)
Today should be another nice one, and it has started off at a low humidity 73 degrees.

I know it's all about QVC but I must say how much I am enjoying our weather here. Never ever do I remember seeing anyone wearing long sleeves in July!!! We are actually having cool weather??? My grandkids all had on a light jacket yesterday morning when they came over. It is so weird but no complaints at all from me. It's AMAZING!!!

By the way, I am tired of hearing, Let It Go! Sorry, no offense to those who like it but hearing it too much on QVC! :lol:

Good morning everyone! I'm very early this morning. Went to bed at 1 o'clock last night and woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. It doesn't happen very often but today is one of those rare times. :]

Had another successful shift at the Games yesterday. It's a shame that it was raining most of the day so it was quite quiet at the venue. I was supposed to be working until 10pm but our line manager was very kind and let us leave at 8pm. He was like 'you, guys, can go. I'll take the last [athletes] departure'.

Also, it was such a coincidence to find out that Adam's [my line manager at the venue] grandfather is originally from the capital city of Lithuania. Despite the fact that Adam is Polish himself, which makes us neighbours geografically, he is also partly Lithuanian. Such a small world, isn't it? :]

I'm hoping to meet my friend today. She has her sister visiting from Bulgaria so they both are coming to Glasgow today.

Days to Christmas Day: 158

And the day after tomorrow sees us down to TWO weeks to the 100-day Season Window and the begining of our first double-digit count number sequence.
(Say now! That's a nice fact to wake up to, yes?)


Great weather continues.
If it was always like this, the south would be a fantastic place to spend the summer.
But alas. I know the two big H's (heat and humidity) will be returning soon.
(Around here, you relish the nice days while you can and don't question your luck!)
We are at 73 degrees here, currently, and it looks a bit like rain.

It is really heating up here again, going to be 92 degrees, and high humidity again tomorrow. It's going to be mid 80's today, with high humidity as well. A perfect day to stay in the AC & enjoy some more CIJ!! I also have some things to get done around the house. My neighbors want to grill out again this evening, we will see. Depends how much I get done around here, I guess. With them, it's an event!

Sunday

I have been checking in here all day and did not want to interrupt the fun the three of you are having, but now it is almost bed time so thought I would do so anyway.

We are home again from Vermont, had a nice time away but glad to be home.
Slowly getting things put away, will do the rest of the cleaning up tomorrow.

I am watching a movie I picked up called "The Man who Saved Christmas". I have been looking for a copy for awhile so am happy to finally have it. Jason Alexander is the main character in this movie, if you have never seen it I highly recommend it.

So I will go and let you get back to your fun!

Made, Binger...I haven't been able to be here as much as I would have liked...stupid baby....but I have enjoyed glancing through and reading the "Misadventures of Made and Binger." Hope you two stay great!

The next time the three of us will be together will be ringing in the season or Darlene Love.

I already long for that moment. Until then, friends....

I am just listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas in July QVC! Had my friend over last weekend and we had our Christmas in July movie marathon. We watched Crazy Christmas obsession 2 and 3 and a few others. It was fun! We also found out my Wife is having a Boy! November baby! We have though of the name Charles. Yes after Charlie Brown, but Charles is a good name. My friend went to the States and got me the "Merry Christmas" scent Yankee Candle. Smells great down here! Have a good evening all!
