Good afternoon, friends! How are you all doing? I am well! Just been very busy, as always. Nothing is really new here, just working a lot and staying busy with the kids.

What is new with all of you guys? What do you all have planned for this evening? DH is working, but I have off, so the kids and I are going to go to Pizza Hut for dinner. My sister thinks she may come in and spend the night. So she'll probably come with us too. I'll think we'll come back and relax then. I'm hoping to catch some of Jill tonight on QVC, but we'll see!

Tomorrow, we're taking the kids to the movies. It's part of the cheap movies they do over the summer. We'll probably do lunch too while we're out.

Well, I just wanted to check in with you all. I know I'm very behind. I'm going to read around and check the other threads as while. I'll check back later.

I love Little House and The Waltons reruns. My kids have fallen in love with Gilligans Island. It seems like all we watch as a family are old shows from the 60's and 70's. That tells me a lot about the type of TV shows that are being aired today.

They are the best shows! TV today stinks in my opinion!!! Lol!

I agree. I wish they aired more of the older shows.

Adrian & I watch Jeopardy or reruns of Cheers, Frasier, or Family Ties over dinner. Hallmark is one of my favorite channels, too.

I love all of those!
We have been watching marathons of Full House every night. Corny but so good!

I've been super busy dorm shopping for my daughter, she will be leaving for college next month! And my oldest is scheduled to have her tonsils taken out next week, I'm trying to brace myself for that!

Hey HMG! Glad to hear all is well. Sounds like you've been very busy. What day is your daughter's surgery? I will keep her in my prayers.

The kids started swim lessons on Monday, so they are really enjoying summer now! They loved it and actually did very well for their first time!

Good morning!
We will have sun and clouds today with temperatures around 85 degrees. Storms will be passing through later this evening.
I'm tired of dorm shopping! I need to head back to Bed, Bath & Beyond today. I'm going to pick up a few of those under bed storage boxes for my daughter. I was by myself yesterday and the cart was so full, I couldn't fit them in. I'm also going to pick up a few more things at Target for her and she told me she wants to hang up firefly string lights in her dorm room so I added that to the list. I should probably look online for them and save myself the trouble of driving around. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Oh and my husband and I need to work on the financial aid stuff again. We ran in to problems last night, it was too late to call customer service so we gave up. We have such bad luck with that stuff, there's always an issue. So we'll try again tonight.

did you have a look at the size of her dorm room?
If it is like my daughters they are not very big. She could not get one of those under the bed totes under the bed because the bed was to low to the floor. Fortunately we could return ours.
Plus they have so many regulations as to what is allowed to be plugged in, she could not have strings of lights because it was considered a fire hazard. (she had wanted to put up clear Christmas light strings because she liked the peaceful glow of them) She has them in her apartment and they look so nice. Even her hair dryer had to be checked out and approved before she could use it.
Students loans people are fun to deal with here too!

Did I say I don't want school to start??? Hurry and start! Ha ha! It was just a bit overwhelming yesterday and those days will happen! I just wasn't feeling real well and my grandkid's parents had a very long 10 hour day at their jobs so that means the kids were here that long. We didn't get out of the house yesterday so it was cabin fever and too hot to play outside. Hey! I am not going to focus on the few meltdowns but report the fun we did have! We did some art projects, watched some TV together, baked brownies and played with shaving cream. I cleared the dining room table off and sprayed a bunch of shaving cream all over it and they had a blast, it cleans the table too! It's also nice because it finally just dissolve away and not too messy! I took a picture of them playing in it and sent it to my daughter. She replied back, "Hey, I remember doing that when we were little"! So with all that in mind I will focus on the fun we had! We will probably get out and do something fun today. 10 hours is just too long to hang out inside the house.

I hope everyone had a good day and is doing well.

Things have been better here. My dog Shaggy passed away early this morning and I am heart broken. :sad: He was the happiest of dogs and would rather have a hug than eat. He was almost 17 and lived a good life, but it seems like only yesterday that my brother found him in the woods. I am going to miss him so much!

I need to watch a few Christmas movies tonight, but first I need to do a few chores.
