Hello everyone. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my dad. He is in the hospital as he was bleeding awful from an incision that had been made during his previous hospital visit. He is doing better.

I hope everyone has a great Monday! We are having another unseasonably cool cold front come through this week! I'm excited!

Good Morning, Fellow Milestone Approachers.

And yes, we are indeed closing in on yet another of the many interesting Milestones on our journey toward Christmas Season 2014.

First, the start-of-the-week numbers:
Days to the Season: 108
Days to Christmas Day: 150

And the discerning among us will quickly determine that we will arrive at the 100-day Season marker one week from tomorrow, after which a double-digit Season count sequence will commence with the usual result - a quickened pace towards our long-coveted Christmas Season.


It was rainy and humid yesterday but we were able to dodge enough raindrops to enjoy a tour of the NC State University campus where my younger niece will be starting next month.
More rain is possible today but then a nice clear, lower humidity rest of the week is predicted.
We are starting out just under 78 degrees at this hour in the capital city.

Evening all!! Just got in from my brothers, Its my nephews 4th birthday today so they had a party for him at a fun factory then we went back to theirs for a BBQ. Its been a lovely day! my girls are worn out now!

Really fancy doing abit of baking tomorrow, just some muffins and maybe a cake, so going to check my cupboard to see what I need to pick up from the shops in the morning! Bought myself one of those standing mixers/kitchen machines and cant wait to try it out ha!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Homemakingirl!!!

It's been a while everyone, plus there were some difficulties trying to get on here a few weeks back, but it seems that difficulty has been settled!

I've been extremely busy and it's been stressful here, plus my right side of my lower back is all tight, so I can't sit in this chair very longs.

I see we have JUST passed the six month countdown, and it seems like it's been forever since the last Holiday!

I'm loving the warm weather we have been having, but today it's rainy, and humid.......feeling a bit like Florida actually!

So a hearty greeting to all, and all the best during the week....oh by the way......I thrown some snowballs to a few people......good sign that I'm back! GOTTCHA ALL!

Morning, yall! Hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday. My brother came down this weekend, so we all went to eat pizza last night and did a little shopping. Bambina got up earlier and we fed her, but she has drifted off back to sleep. At this point, that sounds like a good idea. I will catch yall later!

Wow, HEAVY rain! It was pouring down the outside of the windows here at the office---and then raindrops started pattering INSIDE the window! There's a leak somewhere high up in the window frame. I had to quickly remove my stuff from the windowsill and get some paper towels in there. Happily, not much water came in, but I'll have to keep an eye on it during the heavy thunderstorms expected today.

The weather service was reporting a severe thunderstorm with heavy rain, heavy winds, and pea-sized hail over my home town shortly before that ... I hope everything is all right back home.

I hope your Monday is going more normally!

And I'm glad your getting a cold front. It's supposed to be 100°F and 100% humidity today. Whew!

I'm just popping in quick to say hello and say thanks again for all of the Happy Birthday wishes. I had a nice day with my family, they gave me some great gifts which included six new Keepsake ornaments (I know you guys would appreciate those) and we also went out to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. I have to turn in now because my daughters surgery is early tomorrow morning. I'm sure I won't be around until she's back home, settled in and resting comfortably. I would appreciate it if you would keep her in your prayers. Thank you so much. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their evenings.

Yikes! We have 2 sun roofs in our house, one in our office and one in our livingroom. I have always feared the one in the office where the computer is if it should start leaking. At one time I had a desk top computer right under the sun roof. Now I have a laptop and thankfully no desktop under it because it did start leaking one day during a storm! We have had lots of heavy rain since and no leaks but have to watch it.
